The new Legend of Zelda is looking mighty fine.

 

Tropical Freeze is easily the best Donkey Kong game.

 

The most disappointing aspect for me about Star Fox Zero was lack of pro support.

 

I like how Link just has an NX as an item in this game. Anyway this looks incredible, getting so many good ideas going in on this game that I've always wanted in Zelda.

 

The open world is 12x larger than the map in Twilight Princess. The area featured in the demo represents 1% of the game world.

 

I felt the same way on my first play through. Now I can't imagine not using the Gamepad.

 

That actually looks really cool having Wolf Link follow you around and helping to hunt and fight. Way better functionality tha TP HD.

 

definitely one of the cooler amiboo functionality's I've seen.

 

My stance on the Zelda franchise has always been that I recognize the significance of the series and I really enjoy some of the games (Wind Waker, Link to the Past, Ocarina) but I don't really have any investment in the series. This looks really good and I'm betting it'll be great.

The reason for no female option bums me out big time. The game looks great and I'll probably still get the game but that puts a bad taste in my mouth.

 

Overall, I look forward to Final Fantasy XV, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Detroit: Become Human. It looks like it's time for me to get a PS4.

 

that reasoning for no female option is pretty lame. "then what would Link do?" lol who gives a fuck. Make Linkle an option (or IMO the sole protagonist because she's way cooler), and it not only fits but reinforces the whole there being various "Links" existing through time/timelines.

 

Exactly, Link is supposed to be an incarnation of a hero, not a single entity.

 

If we do ever get a female Link and they actually call her Linkle, that'll be so intensely disappointing. Link is a gender neutral name, and Linkle is atrociously stupid.

 

Anyone been able to find the Resident Evil 7 demo that they said was going to be out? Doesn't looks like its coming up for me. Hate scary stuff but want to give it a try lol.

That game on VR looks like it could ruin someone's life.

 

Article on Gamespot says Zelda will be the same on both Wii U and NX in terms of both graphics and gameplay. This makes me just want to hang onto my Wii U and play it on there and makes me even MORE confused as to what the NX might be.

Honestly don't feel like we'll get a female link. I think at this point Nintendo see Link as a character himself like Mario or Donkey Kong and he's no longer just a player character. They're not going to add a female Mario or a male Samus.

 

Last night I found it by searching Resident Evil, then scrolling down to 7 which was like at the bottom of the list which takes you to a pre order page, then you click go to game page, then keep scrolling down and the demo will show up.

 

So I guess that confirms no backwards compatibility for Wiiu games on the NX. I was planing on getting the Wii U version anyway to get some more life out of the system. Probably wait a year or so on the NX, they usually do some good holiday bundles a bit further into the systems life.

 

No one wants to see a Zero Suit male Samus.

 

The girls doing the Treehouse right now would love to see a Zero Suit male Samus.

 

For the RE7 demo I went Games->popular->top demos->sort newest first

 

I agree it probably won't happen and that they see Link as character. The difference between him and Mario though is that there is only 1 Mario and multiple incarnations of Link. I doubt we'll ever get a female Link as the sole protagonist but maybe one day we can get the option.

Yeah I think if it isn't happening now it'll unfortunately never happen.
