I have no interest in upgrading my almost 2 year old iPhone

 

I didn't upgrade my X this year either.

I may next year, but it's such a good phone ... I may just wait and save the money. It's a weird predicament to be in.

I still have a 6S because the battery hasn't completely crapped out on me and I don't really really give a shit about phones.

The 6S is actually the first iPhone I owned

 

Fun.

 

I have no interest in getting a phone without a headphone jack, so I will be using this one until it actually dies. I actually always run my phones into the ground, I think this is only the fourth one I’ve ever owned.

 

What is this ancient technology of "headphone jacks" you speak of? Cords and plugs!?

 

I had a 5S for almost 3 years but the battery became complete shit so now I have an 8. I lost the headphones it came with so now I gotta go spend $30 to buy a new pair cause you know, no headphone jack and shit like that. I have so many old pairs I could have used...

 

Because everyone loves not being able to listen to music because your headphones ran out of charge

 

I do transcription for a living which requires being able to use a lot of older technology in conjunction with my phone sometimes, and headphones always. Switching between two different kinds would be a nightmare. That’s also why I bought a brand new computer last year and had to hunt to find one with a CD drive.

 

I thought the no headphone jack was stupid but my headphone jack has been annoying as fuck and very finicky forever so now i want it gone. i just hate looking like that with the wireless earbuds...awful

 

I haven't plugged in my AirPods in weeks. The battery life is incredible. Case keeps them topped off to the point where you don't even notice it. (And if you plug that in at night, and you will never even pay attention to the battery.)

 

The adapter is $9.

Yeah, AirPods battery life is incredible. Best purchase I made in 2018.

 

Airpods are so expensive though, maybe it's cause I never used one but I don't see how they are worth the price

 

Seriously though AirPods are the best purchase I've made in at least 5+ years. No other piece of technology has changed my habits, added actual joy, and transformed such a large part of my life as those have. They're that good. The idea of putting a leash on my head to my pocket makes me wretch.

But I'm also afraid I'll lose airpods

 

I don't have iPhones I've had a galaxy s8+ for about a year and a half.and its been great (except for when the screen cracked)

I havent tried the earpods but I use the cheap Bluetooth earphones that I keep around my neck all the time. I have 2 or 3 pairs that I alternate when one is dead I grab the other. Charge them at work when I'm using my noise canceling headphones. Bluetooth earphones are amazing and I would never go back to wired. I know there's some quality loss. But it's worth the trade off for convenience and comfort.

Anker and Aukey make some good ~$20 Bluetooth earphones.

 

I have a Galaxy , I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't walk around wearing headphones, I'm too easily distracted

 

That’s why they’re great. More people leave you alone. Half the time I don’t even hit play, I’m just thinking.
