Someone bought me singles when it came out. It was my second Jimmy record and it completely opened my eyes.

Just realized Futures turns 15 in October. What a fucking record.

 

Time for a 15 year tour and a new album release lol.

 

OK but why not both? Futures front to back in one set and stuff from their other records + the new one in the other, how fucking awesome would that be?

 

Similar to what Silverstein is currently doing. I can dig it

 

I'd go to multiple shows of that haha.

 

I'm down for that.

 

Big milestones for this band in 2019:

-25 years
-10 albums
-15 years of Futures

We may be in for a special year.

 

Maybe actually a tour that comes to Florida!?

It's all fucking happening this year.

 

I wanna start 2019 by checking in... the best band in the world is still the best band in the world, right?

 

Did Clarity front to back sometime over Christmas, and can confirm it's still my favourite album ever.

e: full disclosure it was on 12.23.18 because I'm a massive nerd

 

I always hated clarity but been listening to it a lot over xmas and new years. At 29 I'm finding an appreciation for it, weird.

Probably for me: Futures, integrity blues, chase this light, bleed american, stay on my side ep, clarity, invented, static, damage.

 

It didn't click for me until I cracked 30. Weird. Many of my older friends were much deeper in the music scene when that album released, so they were at ground zero when it impacted everything. They adore that record. Bleed American and beyond was my "generation" of Jimmy. But now I really really love Clarity.

 

Took a long time for The entire Clarity album to click with me over the years... Really until the live version was released.

Same goes with Invented (minus a live version), but now I absolutely adore Invented. It definitely moved up on my list quite a bit.

 

Guys I think Clarity is hitting for me right now... (I’m 27)

 

Fun fact: I was at that show! While waiting in line, planes coming in and out of Sky Harbor Airport were flying over my head. It was pretty cool.

 

what took you so long?! it hit me like 15 years ago when i was 17/18. haha! better late than never though, i suppose!

I cannot stop listening to Bleed American this week. The last three song stretch is the stuff of legend

 

I remember a few years back reading some comments about Authority Song being out of place, but I absolutely love the breath of fresh air it gives you between Cautioners and My Sundown
