Schmaltz is a life changing album for me.

 

Schmaltz is the most consistent pop punk album I've ever heard

 

If anything, Meg Myers - Take Me To The Disco is at the very least the most overlooked album of this year. Bums me to only see it on a handful of lists.

Plenty of good music this year, but a little heavy on B/B+ material and not much in the way of A/A+ albums. There were a lot of records with a handful of solid songs, but not that many that I think are great top-to-bottom. Definitely didn't make it easy to put my list together. Overall, this was probably one of the weaker years of the 2010s for me from an album perspective.

With that said, here are some records I didn't see too many people talking about that I think are pretty good and deserve more attention:

I admire your enthusiasm. I think you've mentioned her album enough to where anyone checking this thread is going to consider giving it a listen. However, I'm worried you're going to reach the law of diminishing returns with these posts. People who subscribe to threads (like me) are going to catch on that these Meg Myers posts are a bit cyclical.
