Hopefully, we will have a condo down there by this time next year. It’s been the game plan for the last three years, but one year I had a stroke, one year something else happened, and this year we had to drop over $8k on get bills for our dog. So basically, we just need to not have an absurd medical bill for anyone in the family and we will be alright!

 

This would be a super meh hire, but I think McCarthy would actually be a good fit with Sam.

I'd rather see them go after an upstart like Nick Sirianni or Kris Richard.

If Brown comes here then there’d be no CB in the league that can handle him. Ramsey has his number and has repeatedly intercepted Ben while covering Brown the last two years, so if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em ;)

 

Honestly the fact that Ramsey puts Brown away but can’t stop Hopkins really makes me wonder if Brown is actually the best. Against the rest of the league, Brown is the best, he honestly does make more insane plays and has more creative ways of beating the defender... but Hopkins seems to still be just as unstoppable even against elite coverage.

Ramsey handled OBJ too, took care of Tyreek Hill / TY Hilton, etc... it’s really only Hopkins that beats him.

I would argue Hopkins is the best WR in the league. And just getting better.

I think that Brown is the best route runner and the best red zone receiver because he’s so sneaky and subtle about making adjustments without the CB noticing, and so good at fooling them into failing to locate the ball properly.

He’s a master of pretending the ball is coming one way and then slipping out of coverage at the last second to get to where the ball is ACTUALLY gonna land. He’s also crazy coordinated with his timing and footwork, Id say he’s best in the league at that as well. He judges time and space so well, that his routes always seem to end up right under the ball. Even when he makes multiple moves / adjustments, even when he has almost no space to work with on the sideline.

But that finesse bullshit doesn’t work on Jalen who seemingly already knows every trick in the book that a WR could try on him. Hopkins meanwhile is probably the most physical receiver and the best contested catch receiver in the NFL. So what usually happens there is Ramsey is all over him they’re elbowing each other and shit and Hopkins still finds a way to forcibly grab the ball.

Hopkins’s elite traits aren’t complex - just raw hand fighting and hand eye coordination, as well as his competitive swagger and poise to fight even harder and grab the ball even more firmly while getting pushed and hit. He doesn’t even need to be a great route runner to dominate. He’s gonna beat you for the ball, straight up, in your face.

I think that a truly smart player can beat out finesse but when a player is physical, the only way to win is by being MORE physical haha.

 

Like, basically Antonio Brown is a magician. But Hopkins, pound for pound, has more “fight” in him than any other WR in the league. Ramsey can handle tricky players and he’s too physical for almost every receiver; but Hopkins is just as scrappy as Ramsey and tends to, metaphorically, punch back just as hard.

 

Trade harbaugh for two first rounders, flip them to the Steelers for AB. Win-win.

Oh, and then promote martindale to head coach, hire back marv as dc, bring in gase as OC.

And I almost forgot, trade Flacco for a wrinkly old scrotum or something.
