Curious what others' most difficult boss was in Odyssey?

So far, the Centipede boss in Metro Kingdom was by farrr my hardest. It's really damn hard to shoot while moving the tanks since the shoot button is on the same joycon as the joy stick.

I'll see how Bowser is in Moon Kingdom!

 

Aaand end credits! Officially beat the main story and at Mushroom Kingdom

 

brought my Switch to my buddy’s so we have plenty of joy-cons. the NYE party has turned into a 6 person Towerfall arena and I’m living for it. such a good party game.

I bought this (about 6/7 boss fights in) and plan to finish it in a few sittings but this is pretty accurate. Fyi to anyone else planning on getting this.

The gameplay has lots of potential, but it does need a bit more polish. The sprites don’t always blend in seamlessly with the background.

The controls you have at the start of the game is what you’ll have until the end: melee attack, dash/dodge, parry, ranged attack using the right joystick, charged melee, charged ranged attack. No upgrades throughout the entire game, and it’s just one boss fight after another. Enjoying it a lot. The one con that annoys me rn is the long walks between the bosses. I feel like they should’ve just made those cutscenes. So tedious.

 

Is this the year of Metroid.

It better be the year of Metroid.

I picked up Shadows of Valentia for $11 at Target the other day. Even though I haven’t been able to get into a Fire Emblem game yet. Couldn’t pass up that price

 

Did you try the 3ds titles; Awakening and Fates? Those are my go to games, especially Awakening

I bought Awakening digitally some months ago. Started playing but really didn’t put any time in it. Going to try again

 

Definitley recommend doing that it’s one of my top 5 games of the past decade

Really? I’d say Awakening is just as friendly depending on the settings. Neither game is overly difficult unless you set the settings to be so. I also think it has the better story and characters.

 

Pretty sure Fates has even more forgiving settings for those that want them, but I might be misremembering

 

Both games have the same settings, casual/classic and easy/hard/insane

 

I feel like Fates has a setting where a character is revived immediately after they die, rather than just at the end of a battle like Awakening allows?

 

I saw fire emblem warriors for like $25 at target and was all stoked because I thought it was a main game for a second.

It wasn’t and I was bummed.

 

This year is supposed to be Fire Emblem year though right? God I hope so
