Seriously though, that seems like what happened. They threw hissy fits and sat alone and didn’t support the team all game, which, I agree is not professional behavior and they should act more mature than that.

But Fournette had a disappointing year that he spent mostly hurt, and Yeldon is trying to show his skills because he’s in a contract year and it affects his pay. It was clearly significant to them and their pride to come out and finish strong in a divisional game. The players in the locker room do not give a single flying fuck about draft picks when the season is still going on.

I mean, are we seriously gonna act surprised they had a bad attitude about it? Especially when the team is losing pathetically and Hyde couldn’t run for shit? *pikachu face*

they are taking his guaranteed money because of his suspension, not because he sat by himself

 

I get that but there’s clearly some discord brewing if Coughlin felt the need to go public and make a statement also.

It seems like overall they aren’t happy with his attitude. Wouldn’t they have just rescinded his guaranteed WHEN he got suspended if that was the only factor? I think they are now, weeks after the fact, using the suspension as an excuse to rescind his guaranteed cash for multiple reasons.

But hey if 2 firsts gets Khalil Mack I guess every player has a price tag. I definitely would NOT trade him for just one first round pick though. Even with a high first round pick, chances of getting another player that good are REAL slim

A lot of the contracts have clauses about detrimental conduct which can void the guaranteed money

I assume getting suspended falls into that category
