You have guys like Urijah Hall and Siyar Bahadurzada on the early prelims

 

I typically don’t get annoyed when non-fans ask me ridiculous questions out of ignorance, but I had someone say “So Cyborg is like the new Rousey, huh?” I cringed. Real hard.

 

Yikes lol

UFC will never encounter another Rousey or Conor.
With how they don’t build stars, I have no reason to believe otherwise.


Still mad we never got Ronda vs Cyborg. Even though we know now what the outcome would’ve been

 

I rewatched quite a few of Rousey’s fights this week because her fight with Nunes was put up on YouTube. Her wins were dominant and she’s had skill, but she never was gonna be able to stand with strikers who were faster and more experienced. Holm and Nunes were able to calculate everything she’d throw at them and picked her apart quickly. Like clockwork.

But with that said, Cyborg is a superior fighter to all of them and I think she’s gonna crush Nunes to bits.

 

I’m not sure if Cyborg will ever get the credit she deserves (maybe deservedly so after the PED stuff) but she dominates people. She beats them up bad and I hope one day before she retires (maybe it’s Nunes but I doubt it) she’s able to fight someone that’s a real threat to her.

I always wondered what would have happened if Rousey would have lost earlier on and got humbled a little. Maybe she would have been more open to changing up her training or camps. It could have also helped her deal with future losses and kept her ego in check. Or, you know, she never becomes a super star and WMMA gets the flyweight treatment.

It always was for the title. DC just relinquished before the headlines could say he was stripped.

I got: Mendes, Latifi, Chiesa (this one hurt but I think Condit is spent), Cyborg and unfortunately Jones.

 

I can’t not pick Condit even though he keeps breaking my heart. Haha. I feel like Cyborg will outclass and overpower Nunes.

I also have a weird feeling that Gus is going to get the upset. He has basically been MIA in all this drama and all the focus otherwise has been about Jones and DC. He might be getting overlooked considering he arguably beat Jones before. Who knows.

I don’t know why but looking at his face actually makes me dizzy. Like his head is spinning in a circular motion.

 

Anyone else think this is going to end up being a no-contest if Jones wins?

 

Irritates me that they complain about people “making things up” and not trusting them yet they even omit information to the damn state commission. No attempt at transparency.

I’m super pumped for Cyborg vs. Nunes. I think Cyborg will win but it will be super interesting to see her fight against someone who has similarly freakish punching power and a close skill set. Would not be at all surprised if Nunes caught her but I do think Cyborg is experienced enough to keep that from happening.

Where is that kind of matchmaking for someone like Greg Hardy lol
