There is. Fun still, but definitely sub par. For some reason they were choosing between Spain and France and they chose the one that had cold winters instead of the warm year round location.

It’s all about Luke’s floating hand. It was found floating in space and they cloned him into Luuke who was actually in Ach-To with Rey.

I’m kinda tired of these kind of tweets tbh, they are so vague and pointless really.

Nobody who has any real knowledge of the film is tweeting because of NDAs. Anyone tweeting anything like that has no real knowledge of anything.

Yeah, I really have to agree and say that nobody actually in-the-know is saying a goddamn thing at this point because of NDAs. Fun to guess things though. Writing for Slashfilm he may have a buddy on the crew or something who let things slip but even then so much can change on these types of films right up until the 11th hour.

Was Jar Jar in any Force Awakens concept art?

Sciretta is pretty reliable, though. I remember he was saying how divisive The Last Jedi would be months before we really knew anything.

Episode 7 was divisive, Episode 9 will probably be too. I don't take anything anyone tweets to mean anything of significance unless it comes directly from JJ's account or the official Star Wars/Disney account.

Recently re-watched The Force Awakens and I think it blows The Last Jedi out of the water.

I prefer it, but I wouldn’t put it like that personally. TLJ took more risks.

I think Force Awakens was more balanced, focused, and effective as an overall movie experience because it was more story focused. but I think Last Jedi was more thematically meaningful/powerful. It actually tried to say a lot with its screen time and really was effective in that way, while maybe lacking in an effective story for a lot of people (mostly in terms of the FO chase and Finn storylines).

I cant really recall anything TFA was trying to tell me. There was certainly a lot of symbolism, but I really didnt feel like TFA tried to say anything other than raising questions.

There are parts of The Last Jedi I love, and some parts that I feel people can have different takes on for the rest of time and I know I’m not gonna like them regardless. There’s just some really unnecessary stuff happening and it’s a drag at times on an already stand still movie plot.

Amazing actors, beautiful Star Wars worlds, and some good action though. My love for the series isn’t lessened from it by any means.

Also as much as I love TFA, it really didnt have much in terms of memorable or powerful moments. There were a lot of little fun things like BB8 thumbs up, "Who talks first?", "Thats not how the Force Works. Oh youre cold?!", and Rey's Lifestyle/putting on the helmet (which might be my favorite part of the movie), but as far as powerful and memorable moments there arent many that Id rank as my favorite Star Wars moments. For example:

rough ranking of my favorite TFA moments
    1. Rey Force pulling the lightsaber past Kylo at the end/fight with Kylo
    2. Force Back
    3. Rey and Finn escaping First Order on Jakku
    4. Kylo kills Han
    5. Rey on Ach-to handing out saber to Luke with Williams score
    6. Finn and Poe meeting/escape
    7. Kylo freezing the blaster bolt
    8. Battle at Maz's castle
    9. Rey resists Kylo reading her mind. "youll never be as strong as Darth Vader"

But the Last Jedi you have:
    1. death of Snoke/Praetorian guard fight
    2. Yoda and Luke scene
    3. Luke vs Kylo/ projection reveal
    4. Hyperspace Kamizakee
    5. Lukes 1st Lesson on the Force
    6. Kylo tries to convert Rey/parent reveal/ Lightsaber exploding
    7. Luke faces down the First Order
    8. Paige's Sacrifice
    9. R2 plays Leia's message
    10. Luke and Leia scene
    11. Luke becomes one with the Force/Binary sunset mirror
    12. basically the whole Battle on Crait

These 12 easily top every one of my favorite moments in TFA. After these Id put the Kylo vs. Rey fight. Then:

    13. Kylo and Reys first ForceSkype call
    14. Reys acid trip in the dark side cave
    15. 3rd Skype call topped with Kylo telling his version of the story
    16. 4th Skype call/Kylo and rey touch hands/Rey fights Luke

Then I would put the Forceback. Thats only 1 scene/moment from TFA in my top 17 between the two movies. Just personal taste of course but considering all of that on top of the vast disparity between the two films thematic impact is why its really no contest for me on which I love more.

This sums up my feelings too. I love TFA for being a fun non-stop plot-driven action adventure, but I love that TLJ is more driven by character, those character decisions, and theme.

While we're talking about favorite moments, what's everyone's favorite moment/scene from each film?

    I - Duel of Fates
II - The Jango/Obi-Wan space fight. The sound design on those bombs Jango uses is awesome
    III - Opera scene
IV - The entire sequence with them sneaking around the death star, but the hallway fight where they get Leia from the cell is probably my favorite
V - Tough to pick just one, but the part with Yoda pulling the X-wing out of the swamp is all time
VI - The final part of the Vader/Luke duel where he just loses it. The camera tracking their fight through the throne room and that score get me every time.
VII - Kylo taking off the mask the first time. Daisy's reaction to him being kind of normal looking is great.
VIII - Another very tough pick, but I'd go with the Yoda scene. Particularly the last shot with them staring at the burning tree.
    RO - Hallway Scene
Solo - The who's on which side confrontation at the end.
