Summer Blink is the best Blink. I'll never forget getting off work and walking downtown listening to Bored to Death for the first time

 

Remember that time one of their reps accidentally released BTD early?

 

No, I’ve forgotten.

 

I went to the car to hear BTD but I was on some iOS beta and playback kept stopping so I heard those opening notes a ton of times before i got the song to play thru. I was so stressed. Hahahahaha

 

I just remember listening to BTD on Youtube after the leak but the audio quality wasn’t good at all and couldn’t tell the difference between Mark and Matt.

 

Definitely thought it was an all-Mark song until you guys had talked about it here. Definitely a perfect "hello summer" song. The girlfriend surprised me with pit tickets, smallest pit (like 4 rows deep) and was 1 person away from Mark. Closest I've been to blink.

 

That’s so sick. Was it an amphitheater show? I saw them at Irvine in 2016 and I’d always seen that pit from afar over the years but we got soundcheck VIP tickets and it was alarmingly small being in it.

 

yeah, the build up to the release of CA had a buzz I hadn't felt since the TOYPAJ release. I was just a kid at that point to haha.

 

BTD was a perfect first single to release, they nailed that one. There was such a “relieving” buzz around California.

After the tug and pull of Neighborhoods and the everything about Tom’s involvement and crap, it was so nice to get a classic blink single and the band being excited about it. I miss summer.

 

And yet, I've never once talked to a Chorusian like this.

 

Sorry if I got annoyed that I don't think you've been in here since the initial release weeks of Cali and just popped in with a completely baseless statement. Won't happen again.

 

It was actually Big Field Day in Richmond VA. Actually pretty small outdoor space non amphitheater. It was so intimate.

 

I loved Bored to Death to the point of tears in my eyes when I first heard it. I still think that bridge is one of the best they've ever had. My friend argues that BTD is a pretty mediocre single and that She's Out Of Her Mind is the real MVP banger of the album and I just don't hear it. BTD is THE song on California, lol.

 

Left Alone is the only song from California that I liked.

 

Sober is where they really messed up with the singles. Song would’ve been huge on the radio.

 

I don’t think there’s a Mark Hoppus bridge out there that I don’t like yet he hates writing them.

 

Dogs Eating Dogs has the best bridges no question.

 

I don't remember what the bridges on DED sound like except Yelawolf which I wish I could forget
