Noticed I had 1.33 days of PTO that showed as unused last night. Went back through and found back when I first started I took a sick day that was unpaid since I was still in my probation period and got payroll to backpay 1 day with my unused PTO. They were pissed because the final paychecks were issued already but that's a couple hundred bucks in my pocket hell yeah

I’m pretty sure there’s diet and weight loss threads where plenty of people want to hear your goals and your deprevation and how much you hate yourself but it ain’t me and it ain’t here thank u this has been a post

i’m really sorry for making you feel that way, but i don’t “hate myself” one bit. i’ve always been a bigger guy and it doesn’t bother me any. jokes at my own expense are my own form of body positivity. not arguing your point and i’ll stop it, just where i’m coming from.

I can appreciate that self depreciating jokes are how a lot of people deal with stuff, and I obviously can’t control you or anyone else to be body positive or anything but what I can control is my exposure to what I believe are toxic mindsets that I don’t want around. I get it. Just be kinder to yourself you can want to work on your self control, just do it with kindness. And if you (/anyone) need to do it with unkindness (some people claim that helps them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) all I ask is that it doesn’t happen in this thread for the sake of my mental health, the message it sends, etc etc. luv u right back.

I mean honestly it’s just my personal request related to me and my mental health, but it’s a free site and people can post wherever they want haha. A1 can collectively say “nah no topics are off limits sorry” and all I can do is shrug and say okay.
But if I make even one person stop and think twice about the toxic mindsets they are perpetuating, then I’m happy.
In realness, like I said I’m pretty sure there is a weight loss thread. Or even the vent your frustrations thread. Idk. I just know that scrolling through posts of hating on fat bodies when you occupy a fat body is...hurtful/annoying/frustrating/all around lame.

 

I mean obviously one of my life goals is to help cultivate a healthier cultural attitude towards bodies and ourselves, so I speak up on this shit whenever I see it.
I get jokes, but I also get that those same jokes just perpetuate the same negativity and stereotypes.
Treat yo selves with kindness. Your body is not the enemy. Food is not the enemy.
