It's inevitable that California leaks right? I'm surprised the new chili peppers album hasn't leaked yet and it releases on Friday

 

Leaks have really tightened up over the last few years. I would expect California to leak only a couple days in advance at the earliest.

 

Man, I can't believe it comes out in like 2 weeks! If it does leak, it could happen any time before then. That's crazy! But I really hope it doesn't leak so we can all gather in here on release day and share our thoughts all together.

I also REALLLLLY hope that the album blows EVERYONE away and will make all the haters take back all of the shit they've been saying after just hearing a couple songs, ha. Blink deserves a huge win. I really hope the album gets praised so Feldmann and Skiba feel accepted and loved.

 

I don't think it'll leak, but if it did, I would listen. I listened to Neighborhoods when it leaked (WDNTW and I-Empire as well). No regrets, I still bought the ablums.

 

I would totally listen to a leak. I already have the album pre-ordered. Plus I have been listening to their leaks since untitled. ;)

 

I've gotta admit I really do like the 2 new songs, they're really fun. I still don't like Skiba's voice much though, but Mark's killing it.

I would listen to a leak for sure. But I'm also paying for the album and already bought tickets to the show. I've spent more money on Blink than any other band..except for maybe Motion City

 

Rabbit Hole needs way more landscapes and arpeggios. I don't remember a single blink song that didn't have arpeggios or intricate guitar work.

I'm tired of hypotheticals because the band still wouldn't have touched a studio to this day. But if *** was still in the band, had decided to work with a producer (which he is apparently too above to do so, remember) and made this song I would love it the same. It's the catchiest chorus since the Untitled record. Actually I think it's catchier than anything on that record too.

Like if you miss the guy, that's great but don't try to suggest our opinions of something are affected. There is NOTHING in this song that doesn't have elements of classic blink songs. I always laughed at people who said "hope this is a return to Enema sound" because I never wanted that. But now that is seemingly what we're getting, I am way happy they went that way. I don't think this will be even close to my favorite on the record, it's very Don't Leave Me-ish and that's towards the bottom of my favorites on that record. I wish that blink had stayed his priority, I still really like Neighborhoods, but what I think of this song has nothing to do with who is or isn't in the band.

 

It'd be so hard for me to not listen to a leak for California... I also wouldn't want to spoil any of it for anyone though so I'd try to refrain from even posting in here until release day.

 

I think I can wait even if it leaks. I don't think it will unless like Amazon fucks something up lol. Blink seems to be running a tight ship with the people that got to listen to the new songs (the guy that posted BTD a day early notwithstanding and guarantee that won't happen again haha) Neighborhoods didn't leak did it?

I was such a dork. I downloaded the Neighborhoods leak, burned it to a CD, and then taped it to my wall. I didn't listen to the album until I went and bought it on release day though, haha. I didn't even listen to any of the singles before it came out, other than the time I heard them live at a show they played here before the album came out... haha.

This time around though, I've listened to the singles a million times each! And I am still on the fence about if I will listen to the leak or not. It comes out so soon now that I think I can wait it out. The thing that will be hard for me though is knowing it's leaked and knowing people are talking about. It'd be soooo hard to not read people's thoughts on it.

 

I don't think it'll leak as early as Neighborhoods did. That was 5 years ago when leaks were still much more common than they are today.

I really liked Toms singing back in the day. He actually kept getting better with each release. Plus he was ridiculously cool, I was fanboying hard in middle and high school. I took the hiatus as an attack on me. I was moody and didn't want to talk to anybody. I kept think, "why the hell would they do this to me!"

 

Exactly me too, haha.

 

I guess I know I can avoid a leak then lol. I definitely didn't listen to that one haha.

 

Oh I dove into that Neighborhoods leak headfirst at the time. I was only 16 and it was my first blink album that I got to be a part of so it was pretty much impossible for me to control myself hahaha
