So....they think Jones had a tainted supplement the first time and it was deemed accidental and was a minuscule amount, but somehow it has remained in his system for a year and a half, enough to will register on tests?

Is it not much more likely the dude doesn’t learn his lesson and tried to mask the steroids two (or more) times but kinda fucked up which gave strange test results?

Just fucking ban Jones already and get it over with. This dude isn't worth it and he's the equivalent to the human version of the shits cats do after eating left over meatloaf that fell on the floor

I wish someone (an expert) would explain some of this stuff. Like how someone doesn’t pop for this lingering substance in earlier tests and then it just pops up out of nowhere despite just being a remnant.

  6. UFC found out he popped on 12/6

Wow is all I can think.

Fuck you Jones. What could have been and what is makes for a substantially disappointing reality that I think I partially accepted last time, and now fully accept this time. This guy is using in some way and is trying to beat the system. He’s actually succeeding in most ways, and it just leaves a bad taste.

This is the most mind-numbingly stupid thing this sport has done since Chuck/Tito 3.

Regardless of how the substance actually got in his system and even appeared on the test in the first place... screwing over (probably literally) thousands of people by moving the event on a week's notice is bonkers.

As Tom Lawlor said, 17 picograms of a substance got him a two-year suspension, so to go so far as to relocate an event to another state just for Jones is just crazy. "He'll never headline another UFC event again" makes me laugh even more now.

  10. Seems very very bad that they’re “choosing to believe” it’s old.

It’s ridiculous and the UFC is not looking like, but actually is the joke now.

I’m glad I didn’t let myself get too hyped on Jones. Do I think he’s the superior fighter between him and DC? Yes. But this is insulting to the entire sport and other athletes, and takes the UFC a step back. How can you be taken seriously as an organization when you allow this to slide with no legitimate answers as to how this “trace” is in there still?

So now Jones can just pop for this at any point in time and it’s no big deal. This is so fucking stupid.

  13. Didn’t even think about this tbh

Yeah that’s been a big issue with a lot of the fighters. I don’t think they even have to pay taxes in Nevada when they fight, but Cali is going to cut into their paychecks pretty significantly.

  15. First episode of Embedded is up for the week.

Jones buying toys for kids for Christmas (this is a good thing but what timing to show that off lol)

Cyborg is pretty likable to me.

I'm afraid Gus might've overtrained for this fight and that's the last thing I want to fear after this entire ordeal.

  16. This should be good and can only yield positive (or negative) results.

I think it's a good idea ESPECIALLY after this whole ordeal with USADA to have another company check him.

It's way too late, or much too early Prestigious

The UFC needs to stop booking Jones. Sad to say because I was a fan of his and I think without the controversies he could have gone down as one of the best ever. He's got such an entertaining style and it's just fun to watch. But at this point is it even worth it? The UFC is perfectly fine without Jones. I'm not sure that there is a clear way to determine if the substance was reingested or not after the first time it was detected but at this point it doesn't even matter to me. It's not fair to the other fighters on the card and many more people are getting fucked over because of the venue switch. Hard to believe Dana and the UFC will learn from this too because they just keep booking him.

The annoying part is that Jones has the skill set. A dangerous and powerful striker with plenty of takedown defense and ground game to be in there with anyone. Doesn't even look like PED's have ever done anything for his size (especially his legs). Why he has ever been willing to tarnish his run the way he has is beyond me. Sucks once being a huge fan to being irritated every time he has a fuck up, as if I should be at all surprised.

I would prefer Covington vs Woodley. I don't understand how that isn't the target fight for the Welterweight Championship right now. Covington is (sadly) the bigger draw (and interim champ?) If he's ducking Woodley then I actually have a new reason to dislike him that little bit more.
