That seems unfair on any level of critique.

It's not unfair if that's how I feel. Paint buy numbers isn't a bad thing, just means they didn't go crazy with it. I like the song a lot and every band has paint by numbers songs that are great.

 

There's nothing "paint by numbers" about Blood on Blood.

Hold a Bud Light? Yes. Absolutely.

 

I don’t think it’s always a negative critique.

I just have a reallly hard time thinking that track ever qualifies as that. Good or not.

Haha but I said I do like it! I love the whole album, I was just ranking the songs, all of which I find 9/10 or 10/10. Even though I love it all, when ranking there has to be a bottom song no matter what. Merry Christmas my dude!

 

I think both are and both are still great songs.

The hate probably comes from the fact people expect more from Thrice than a generic and repetitive radio rock song. It’s kinda fun I guess and has grown on me, but still probably the worst on the record.

I’m a youth pastor, and had fun on Sunday telling people “Happy Holidays” to see their overreactions.

I’d clarify what I was doing, and most people got a kick out of it. Good times were had.
