What spoilers?

 

I think I know a handful of the spoilers for this season but I'll go ahead and join anyway

 

A few weeks before the season began, a huge leak list was posted on reddit. It contained a ton of spoilers that have covered a lot of major events throughout the season. A vast majority have come true so far, but several still involve the events of Ep09 and Ep10.

Additionally, a second list came out sometime around Ep06-07 that largely contains spoilers from Ep07-10. Some of these overlap with the earlier leak list as well.

 

Episode 9/10 synopsis.

9 - Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted
10 - Cersei faces her trial

 

Someone asked about the number of Unsullied. Memory might be fuzzy, but pretty sure there were supposed to be 13,000 or so. 8,000 trained and ready, and 5,000 "recruits" that the Masters didn't want to sell Dany lest they fall in battle and spoil the Unsullied reputation.

 

Re-watched the episode after Joffrey dies. Interestingly, Tywin asked Tommen what he thought makes a good king and Tommen's first answer was "holiness."
I actually like his arc and I think it makes a lot of sense. Tommen always seemed more moral than his family so it makes sense to me that he would turn to the faith to help him rule, since his family is no help in that department. I also like that finally someone in the show is acknowledging how ridiculous a trial by combat is, and I think that Tommen and the faith are the perfect pair to denounce it.

 

I love trial by combat and all of the amazing action scenes it's given us.

 

Sure its entertaining but still an absurd method of deciding innocence or guilt.

 

Did you ever visit the Breaking Bad thread?

Good grief, you'd get jumped on for saying a single thing that wasn't applauding. It's a giant pet peeve of mine.

Mad Men thread wasn't that bad from what I remember

 

Breaking Bad thread was really awful but The Dark Knight thread was a whole different level of hell.

 

Definitely wasn't including that. I mostly meant the Walking Deads/Breaking Bads/Game of Thrones of the world. Don't think Mad Men was ever close to being that popular. Much better, of course, but yeah.

 

Yeah those threads were dangerous. People could get banned for the slightest disapproval. But that was AP, CHORUS so far isn't nearly as negative and confrontational... Yet

 

I got a temp ban in this thread once already. Been walking on eggshells ever since.

 

Yeah, because you were part of the very problem I'm describing.

 

Eh I would say The Walking Dead has mostly (warranted) criticism in its thread. Many of the people in there are still fans but are very aware that the writing in that show is, well, not very good.

 

I saw someone make a good point about the next episode based off the description:
"Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted."
The rejected terms are definitely in the North and the accepted probably occur in Meereen with Theon and Yara likely showing up to aide Dany. Their ships plus the dragons don't present a very promising outcome for the masters.

 

I don't remember anyone getting banned in the BB threads for being negative.
