this would be true if coaches looked at social media or what people were saying, but from all the "A Football Life" episodes about coaches and articles and stuff i've read over the years they have no time for anything but prepping for the next game or series of events for the team.

there was a great article that pointed out that most coaches favorite movie / band / whatever was from the period in time right before they became a coach because after that their entire lives became devoted to coaching and they didn't stay involved with other activities.

 

Has the NFL had division games in London before? The only possibility for Panthers having a game there is against the Bucs. I think the Rams and Jags games will both be at home.

See you keep saying this but the argument for me literally ONLY exists in terms of non-playoff winning QBs. I'm in favor of Le'Veon getting his and raising the RB market. Unlike Randall I'm not clamoring to cut my elite corner because he "makes too much". I'm literally only saying it's absolutely ridiculous to pay someone like they are the best in the league when they have to prove anything. Jimmy G has started ten games in his CAREER. And 12 TDs with 8 INTs really isn't that impressive. He's good. I'm not going to say he's not. But that contract is absurd.

 

I'd be dangerous and give Baker $30 million a year RIGHT. NOW.

 

Oh I agree with you that Jimmy G's contract in particular is way too much. But I do think you put too much stock in the contract and good GMs can maneuver with a contract like that and create good situations for the team.

 

I'd love to see this happen just because I'd expect Baker to counter with 32
