Do you ever have a random memory from your teenage years that pops Into your head that makes you feel like your life was so surreal

I have soo many stories like that. Like that sound made up hah
I just thought of how it was normal at like 17 to go up on the roof of the Hilton on Clearwater beach and smoke. It felt so amazing and rebellious and badass haha. I don’t have the slightest idea how we found out but the roof door lock was broken so you could just easily sneak onto it.

 

In high school, my friend and I would always climb of the roof of this school and just chill. We’d also go “backyard hopping” which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. One time we found this house that was for sale and somehow snuck in and were wandering around. Like, I’d never do that shit now haha

 

this nba season has been fairly interesting thus far

we all know golden state is winning it all ... again but yeah, it’s been a pretty good season

this reminds me of this time in the summer of 2016 when I was pokémon go-ing with a then-lover, and we ran into this other couple who also were doing it and started to make friends. that girl who I was seeing was kinda impulsive and wild in a way that mostly felt endearing then, and she hatched this scheme that the four of us would go to the top floor of a nearby parking garage and smoke the rest of the weed she had on her. we did and it was one of those experiences that you kind of know as it’s happening is gonna make you nostalgic for it lol. I was 20

 

The summer of Pokémon Go was so special. I was dating the woman of my dreams and we’d go out and look for Pokémon and everyone and their dog was out looking for Pokémon too and it was so wholesome lol.

















Then she ripped my heart out and took a shit on it and Pokémon Go also became trash ya know. Cest la vie

 

my version of this was that there was an abandoned factory by where I lived as a teen and I would go with two of my friends and explore/make mischief there. one time we found a deer skeleton on the train tracks leading up to it, and using some string (maybe it was rope??my one friend always kept random shit like that on him) strung it up from the ceiling of a room on the second floor of the factory and giggled about scaring other explorers. my other friend was really superstitious though and we stopped going back cuz she got convinced it was haunted. a little bit after it was demolished. I think I did this stuff around the ages of 16 or 17

 

It’s 6:30 am and I can’t sleep and I need to be up in half an hour. What even is life

insomnia sux and I struggle with it a lot. I don’t have a job right now and it’s contributed to me letting my sleep schedule get out of control recently. hoping I can fall asleep soon and get myself up in time to pick up my xmas present for my mom when it arrives (box set of remastered kate bush albums. she’s obsessed with kate bush and lowkey so am I, increasingly realizing that my music taste nowadays has almost gotten to the point of “stuff that sounds like kate bush” as if I needed another reason to feel like I’m turning into my mom)
