I’m also just excited to see us play a quicker, more attacking game. As well as being more organized at the back. I’m not saying we’ll look like world beaters all of a sudden, or that we’ll be favorites to go through in the CL now, but at least we won’t look like a league 2 side anymore.

I mean, I'm not disagreeing, but this has shades of when Moyes was sacked and Giggs got it till the end of the season. Everyone thought he'd come in and change the style, but it ended up being just as insipid as before.

Obviously a caretaker manager will get much, much more time, but it'll be hard to change too much in 6 months, one of which is the festive period that leaves no time for actual training.

 

Reports out of Paris that Rabiotis moving to Barcelona. Would be fantastic depth. But would also push Rafinha and Denis Suarez away for good, I’d think.

Yeah if I'm being honest I hold no real hope for the rest of the season with regards to success. I just hope we play better and our players can express themselves more.

The more I think about it, the more I smile about Solksjaer taking over. He was my favourite player growing up, absolutely loved him. Total club legend too. Going to be interesting at least.

 

Odd choice considering his disastrous reign at Cardiff and that he’s only managed in Norway other than that. Suppose things can’t get worse...?

Fun fact: I was at the Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United match when United beat us 8-1, with Solskjaer coming off the bench to score 4 goals in 12 minutes or whatever it was. Always respected him from that moment on.
