Actually though, this is worth noting; the Saints last THREE playoff runs were ended by:

-Vikings AT Minnesota - 2018 - #2 overall defense

-Seahawks AT Seattle - 2014 - #1 overall defense (the year they also shut Manning down during Manning’s record breaking season)

-49ers AT San Francisco - 2012 - #1 overall defense

Now, as I was saying, they are one of the toughest home field advantage teams to beat... but their kryptonite is always away games against top defenses. No matter how good your offense is that’s always a threat. And great defense teams usually act as the gatekeepers in the playoffs. That’s why the Saints NEED that 1-seed to make the Super Bowl.

But they’ve shown vs LAR that they are the best shootout team in the league. Even KC couldn’t outdo LAR, but New Orleans did it easily and outpaced them the whole game. It is very hard to keep up with Brees against the Saints’ much improved pass rush and secondary.

 

Yep that’s the one. I know he tried saying his brace was being adjusted or whatever, but I doubt that. He’s looked like hell since then, isn’t standing in the pocket through out, even less mobile, and we see him falling out of throws (aka last throw against the Steelers).
