it's been on my list of major projects to actually go through and add those scenarios to stats.

I also want adjusted running and receiving stats. Like everyone talked shit about how the Jets ran all over the Jaguars last yet but it was literally just two huge runs and then the rest were all stuffed.

 

The best thing is that the hits were Chiefs (3), Broncos (3), and JJ Watt. The Falcons, Bengals and Panthers did nothing. haha

 

It's tough to do because of certain interceptions that could be a WR's fault but appear to be a QB's fault

Example: WR runs incorrect route on option, QB pass looks WAY off and gets picked but if the WR ran a correct route it would've been a contested ball.

Then there's instances of the opposite, where a QB could've led a WR open better or placed the ball better for the WR but bad placement causes the pass to bounce off the WR into a DB. It makes the pass appear like the WR's fault for not getting a clean catch but really it's the QB's fault for not directing traffic better and giving the WR a better opportunity.

I would like to see the change though, I just don't think it'd be as clear cut as we think it would in determining bad QB play vs bad WR play. But we definitely need to start accounting for drops when it comes to QB statistics, even if it doesn't give the FULL picture.

 

Drops are already a stat, so it would be easy to at least have an INT resulting from a drop stat, don't you think? If they both happen on the same play, it should be quite simple to tally.

How accurate are drop stats? I swear i'm amazed every time I see the leaders in drops and how low the numbers are when I swear some (Demaryius Thomas) receivers drop 5 balls a game

 

I am not sure. Not even sure what constitutes a drop, tbh.

 

If Tony Romo goes "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!" in increasing pitch as they're showing the replay, it's a drop

Apparently Cam was the one who refused to sit two years ago when this all started. He’s part of the blame.

 

A player is never going to want to sit out so the coach or ownership needs to step in. I doubt Rivera will because he’s trying to save his job.

 

What's even the point of QB2 if you don't trust them to play when the moment calls for it? Because the moment definitely calls for it.
