Also, Zeke last week passed Gurley. Zeke is now at 88.8% of snaps. CMC is at 97.5% tho

 

CMC is also used as a decoy a lot. Other players get open because the opposing defense follows him so closely.

 

CMC is a weird choice for the RB to be OPOY

I can see any of Zeke, Barkley, or Gurley over CMC

He’s good, but he’s like top 5 RB good. Not OPOY good

Luck is comeback player hands down.

 

I mean, yeah I guess. But Carolina designs plays with this in mind. They use a lot of misdirection with him.

I'm not serious when I say he should win MVP btw. I don't even think he'll win OPOY. I think he's fairly under-appreciated around the league by people though.

 

In the sense that MVP is "player who's team would fall apart without him", then yeah, Id say CMC is a pretty strong argument. They'd probably be 1-13 right now without him (Cam played well enough against the Ravens to claim that win).

But sadly, that's never been the case for the award. Its "best QB on an elite team" or "RB who runs for ~2000yds".

Imagine having a guy that every time you hand off to, it goes 5 yards (his ypc), and every time you pass to, it goes 7 (his yards/target). And then not giving that guy the ball as much as humanly possible. Especially when most of the rest of your offense is either hurt or not producing consistently.

Andrew Luck is the same age as Watt. Weird. But yeah, Luck was ded. He's gotta be CPOY. Would love to see Watt get it because I love Watt

 

I love Watt but Luck deserves it more for having to put up with god awful o lines that pretty much almost cost him his career.
