CarpetElf is actually just incredibly bad at spending money haha.

 

Pretty sure the last game Matt went to was with me in 2015.

We saw the Jags get basically smushed by the Panthers on their 15-1 season. It was pathetic, we did nothing all game and I was so hurt

 

Yeah that was the last football game I went to. The last sports game I went to was a near courtside Hornets game that Carrabba's (lol) gave me a ticket to.

 

Not gonna lie my best time at a football game was this past preseason week 1 when the Browns beat the Giants at MetLife. Giant fans were legit mad. It was awesome.

 

The fuck I went through the Wikipedia wormhole just now and read that Calvin Johnson was rumored to be traded to the Bucs on draft night but the Lions last minute decided to keep him lol

Yeah my roommate paid me back all the money she owed me and asked what I was going to do with it and I said put it in savings and she got annoyed with me haha.

 

When we were planning to go to Texas-OU it was originally gonna be me and Laura going, but she has vertigo and didn't wanna sit up in the top section of seats and decided not to go, and she was like "at least that'll save you some money!"

Nope I took those savings and went into the 100s hahaha

Yeah especially because we would've ended up in a house in Austin and I would go SO overboard on plants.

I’m mostly referring to his explanations/lack thereof for in-game decisions. Great example is his “winning the sequence” line from this past week. I understand coaches generally speak vaguely and need to cover their bases but he always seems to skirt around admitting dumb mistakes by hiding behind meaningless Tomlin-isms like that. That’s why I at least wanna see more pressure on him.
That said, I agree the record is more important than game mismanagement, which is why my post mostly was a venting of frustration more than a call for firing. I like the stability, I agree a lot of criticism has racial undertones, but when you’re in conference with the pats, losing 1 or 2+ games/year to mismanagement has wasted away the second half of Ben’s career.

 

Another team acting like beating the Pats was their Super Bowl lol

 

I just remembered that the ref gave Drew Brees a piece of paper on the field when he broke that record and I'm laughing about it again

 

How can the jets get the 6th pick?

 

Maybe one day your QB will earn a piece of paper pal

and yes sorry, winning the game how they won it is a big deal. It wasn't like they just won a regular close game.

 

lol it was a really good win that they deserved. I just thought it was funny like "well, everything sucked, but then we beat the Pats and all problems solved now."

 

nah they still are a flawed team, but I also don't think they are too far away from being decent. get a guard or two and another pass rusher and I think they are a decent team.

they should have won the Colts and Bengals game as well
