Miles Morales: Spider-Man #1 in stores today.

Written by Saladin Ahmed (Black Bolt; Exiles; Abbott). Return/relaunch of his monthly series after his last series wrapped up in May. Perfect place to jump in.

Find a comic shop here if you don't know where your nearest shop is.

If monthly comics aren't your thing, if you'd prefer to read paperback collections, I'll post a "Further Reading" post on Friday.

Is there a good central source or writeup that explains both the in-comic and real-life timeline with Spider-Man? A while ago I started the unlimited/miles run and then stopped when my marvel unlimited app stopped working. I want to resume but have no idea how I got where I am... I remember ultimate and Peter Parker universes fusing and now there’s this new run starting and it’s just confusing as heck...

  9. Wikipedia isn’t a bad way to go to help find your place/get big picture stuff.

Are you more interested in Miles or Peter?

You’re probably around the middle of the last Miles stuff before the new, I can probably help you find where you are ...

Definitely Miles for now. I last read spider-man (2016) 234/sinister 6 reborn. Certainly could’ve checked Wikipedia first...but i remembered going down a deep Wikipedia hole once before and it got overwhelming haha

I do remember also reading spider-men I and looking forward to II; gonna check that out soon. Into the Spider-verse coming out got me excited to pick up the Spidey stuff again.

That Spider-Man run ended w/ #240 in May, so if you've read everything up to that point, you haven't missed much.

I'd say you should probably read Spider-Men II first, then go back to Spider-Man (2016) & start with #234. (If you didn't read the "Generations: Miles Morales Spider-Man and Peter Parker Spider-Man" one-shot, read that around here, too.) Read that to the end, which is the end of Bendis' run. Then, read Spider-Man Annual (2018) #1, which came out in the fall.

That'll bring you to Miles Morales: Spider-Man (2018) #1, which literally just came out yesterday!

If you wanna be a completionist, you can also read Champions. And, Miles plays a central role in the Spidergeddon miniseries that I think has like one issue left.

Thanks for writing this up. So did the 240 run just end because a new writer is picking up? Does the new series pick up where that left off?

Sony just released like one of the most pivotal moments as a clip and I’m like why?????

I mean it’s my favorite scene and I got chill watching it but STILLL SAVE IT FOR THE AUDIENCE

  20. I wish I had a PS4 for this game alone. I really want to play it.

I too need a PS4 to play that

  22. I haven't read it yet, so I'm not sure. I need to read the Annual still as well. There is a mini-cliff hanger at the end of #240, but it has a good closure moment if they don't. Tim definitely got the high points of what to read.

Here's the Marvel page for the new Miles comic:

    Miles Morales: Spider-Man (2018 - Present)

If you wanna stay up to date on what to read.

Volume 4 is the last run of the old series:

Spider-Man: Miles Morales Vol. 4 (Trade Paperback)

Which it sounds like is where you ended off. Marvel's site is being super slow for me right now or I'd try and find the individual page.

    Edit:

Here's the stuff you'd need from where you left off:

    Spider-Man (2016 - 2018)
