Apparently it was a gift from a fan and it has his name on the back.

 

Ah yeah I forgot they were in England last week. Makes sense. I wouldn't have thought most Americans would have heard of Wigan the place let alone the football team haha.

 

I really wish I could get the ones I made to him, but it appears it will be a long long time before I'm able to meet him again.

 

@bradsonemanband is Crossroads not a vegan restaurant? I was under the impression it was, but Chicken parm suggests it has meat and veggie options.

 

yeah, it's a vegan restaurant. the chicken parmesan apparently doesn't have chicken OR parmesan in it, but tastes delicious. he said it's favorite thing there. i didn't even see it on the menu though so i don't know... haha.

 

I forgot to share my favorite comment I read:

"I had hoped that they would remember recording Flyswatter in Scott's bedroom on a shitty four-track and that they would take inspiration from that, but then I remembered that the only person who even couldremember that is Mark. Fuck…"

A logical direction for a band of blink's size to take... Haha

 

Those reddit comments are starting to sound like Tumblrina expectations.

 

Oh, awesome! Yeah, they are probably usually wheat gluten for the chicken replacement. That would be my guess.

 

The ending of "I Miss You" is always the highlight of their live show, hands down. Travis kills it so much!

 

I have always said that might be my favorite live song. I haven't seen the new trio play it live, but when they played it on the untitled anniversary shows, it was just so amazing.

Travis destroying the symbols and snare, Mark just jamming so hard and Tom and his knees just shredding the guitar. Such passion packed into those last seconds of that song live.

 

I miss you is one of the best songs to hear live for sure. Tom's part is probably the most epic. Everyone screams it with him "Where are you! And I'm So SORRY"

 

The ending of I Miss You live is the only thing live I'll miss about he-who-I-shall-not-name. Small sacrifice for everything else though lol. And Travis makes up for it anyways. Plus I really like Matt's "in my head" thing at the end.

 

As a huge Tom Delonge fan, I just want to say how stupid happy I am with the current iteration of blink and how stoked I am for this record. I mean, how fucking invaluable are John Feldmann and Matt Skiba to blink right now. It's just so cool having all three members of blink giving their 100 percent to the band right now, and Matt just sounds so good and is putting so much effort into every performance, and it clearly pays off. Both new songs out, while not being my favorite blink songs, just sound so slick and refreshing. They make my ears happy. Also, I give Feldmann so much credit for not letting Mark sit and stew over the songs and lyrics. There's something so immediate and urgent about the songs, some people complain about it, but I think ultimately them not overthinking the music has paid off.

It really shocks me how so many people on youtube, reddit etc. don't realize that every blink album besides Cheshire Cat was well/over produced for the era that it was released. I mean Flyswatter, really? They made that when Tom and Scott were still in High School I think. Yea, very reasonable production expectations for one of the biggest pop punk bands.

 

I never knew they were on this show! Dang, blink was all over Hollywood in '99/'00.

 

Besides, who honestly still listens to that album on the reg? I mean, some of these fans take this too seriously. "You aren't really a fan unless you listen to EVERY early recording. That means you've been there since the beginning. It's like you're part of the band and know which direction they should go creatively."

 

I wonder how that fictional character on that British musical show is going that was worlds biggest Tom Delonge fan?

 

Awh yes, the Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place appearance.

 

OMG I forgot about that show lol. Never saw it but saw some clips. All the Small Things I think. Kid is probably crying in a corner currently
