I enjoy when bands avoid playing songs that the majority of their fans like and play what they like. But the same time, I hate hearing through the same set list 3x times

 

I'd put The Holy Mess's Cande Ru Las Degas up there with any of the Menzinger's releases. Such a great album that barely gets love on here

 

War Paint is my least favorite album by The Dangerous Summer, behind Golden Record.

But way off base. There's just no way that album is better. Lyrically, musically, all around War Paint is a better record.

 

The only thing I'll give you is that AJ sounds better on War Paint, but otherwise I much prefer the songs on Golden Record.

I think AJ does sound better, yes. But I also think the songwriting in general is much better. I also can't stand the production/mix on Golden Record

 

I've seen others say that too but it's not something that bothers me. Golden Record just came at the right time for me I guess

Well I can't really argue that, I totally get that. War Paint was the same for me. I was just kind of figuring out life and who I wanted to be at that point, so that record was perfect timing.

My December is a good album and it makes me sad that I see ppl use it as a reason for why popstars shouldn't go the pop rock route. But even if it didn't bless us with flawless songs like Sober, it bums me out when popstars try to gain control of their career and it is panned. Britney's Original Doll album too. Sucks when it doesn't work and they have to come crawling back or work with ppl they didn't want to.
