When it cuts to Sincerity Is Scary - I'm getting Marty watching his son in Back To The Future Pt. 2 vibes

Hit me up if you want a legal copy of the digital album for free. I have about 7 via bundles and would love to have my digital downloads go to fans whose wallets are a little light this holiday season.

So i finally relented and bought the CD today - Got it home, went to listen to it and.... it won't play

Nearly 3000 cds and this is the first one that flat out refuses to play!

If you go back to the 1:40 mark of "Sincerity Is Scary" video, it looks like the Singing In The Rain dude briefly spots something weird off screen, right where "Matty" is in the "It's Not Living" video.

Watching this now, lots of great behind-the-music technical talk.

Gonna be real here, if the first half of the album has the “tunes” that are fun to listen to, the latter half works itself up to an emotional climax... if I Couldn’t Be More in Love gets me a little bit emotional, I Always Wanna Die just wrecks me.

And like, if the more energetic songs are more sonically progressive in nature, the fact that they can flip it around and deliver a classic The 1975 song in It’s Not Living... a couple of QUALITY jazz numbers, and then a big sweeping, emotional rock ending with I Always Wanna Die... That also, in itself, is progressive.

I guess that’s my quick “review” of sorts for the album, and also why I feel The 1975 is far and away the band of the decade.

  25. There's a link being passed around Reddit that's allegedly the "102" bonus track from Japan. Before anyone finds it and goes nuts, I have my doubts. If the rip provided is truly a lossless copy of the bonus track on the Japanese version, we should all be disappointed.

I ran a spectral analysis on the track and this is what was reported. For reference, here's an example of "Be My Mistake" from a verifiably lossless rip of the album and here is a report from the copy of "102" I've had since 2011. For those that don't know what they are seeing here, this is basically a graphical report of the data available in a given audio track. The more color you see to the right of the chart, the better the quality of the track (generally speaking).

There is a strong chance the Reddit poster is trolling all of us and transcoded a 192kbps mp3 to FLAC. If not, and this was truly ripped from a Japanese copy of the album, The 1975 did the very same.
