  1. I can’t even name all the stuff I heard growing up. Like I just discovered how many times I’d heard David Soul this week.

My dad gave me his Sgt Pepper's & Abbey Road CDs when I was 10. Forever grateful. Sgt Pepper's is still one of my all time favorite records.

it really is, it’s like a long lost song from the 2000s that someone unearthed and somehow everyone just forgot it existed. it sounds so familiar. my favorites change with each listen but right now Sincerity and this one are my top 2 songs.

i just finished another listen, and I’m still in awe. it just hits all the right spots for me. this decade is so great we’ve had so many incredible albums and it’s too early but I feel this is becoming one of my favorite albums ever (beside Bon Iver Bon Iver, Carrie and Lowell, Age of Ad, etc).

Just got out of the Pale Waves show in Portland and as soon as they left the stage, It's Not Living started playing. I chuckled a little too loudly.

Feel like their live show is better than their record. They released way too much material prior to the album - most of which could’ve actually been on the album and resulted in a much better one. And this is coming from a previous enormous fan - seen them on their first ever headline UK tour and 4 times since, met them a fair few times, bought all their merch and any magazines they were featured in. Loved them and was so unbelievably excited for their album. Hated that The 1975 were being pushed more, and that their singles were always released days before a huge 1975 one. Daft marketing. But their album was just so underwhelming for me. Thank god their live show is still wicked.

Customer service is pretty good, if you email them they might replace it.

Hey y’all — if you bought merch bundles or multiple things on their store, make sure you actually download the digital files from every email. The album sale isn’t counted unless you actually click to download the files.

Yeah, they replaced my ILIWYS deluxe box set with another for free. And that was when it was 75 quid and ‘super limited’, (now 20 quid paha). Will see what happens with this though.

Got the EPs on clear vinyl but finally got round to getting the reissues on white. Been listening to them on loop for days now. They’re fucking magical.

when me and my brother started getting into music on our own thanks to fuse tv, we started getting my mom into stuff. she likes mcr, tbs, fall out boy, jimmy eat world tons of other stuff we always showed her. she also really likes the 1975 and always comments about how they sound exactly like what the 80s sounded like whenever I play ILIWYS

my mom is a big Cure fan which ofc rubbed off on me. she says my birth dad was also a big fan of theirs, as well as a big country/bluegrass fan due to the big influence that music has on NC and the south in general ofc. its a shame he and i will never get to argue about music or listen to records together. this time of year always makes me real melancholy about that stuff so sorry to bring the thread down love yall

Fuse was so important back in the early 2000s, it feels like it shaped the music tastes of a generation

I used to watch Fuse with my dad all the time. He didn’t care for most of the bands (except MCR, that was one band we shared equal love for) but he was intrigued.

Music was on a pedestal at my house growing up. I have many memories of many different artists - my mom's love for Aerosmith, Bon Jovi etc. and my dad's love for Springsteen, Marvin Gaye, etc. but the biggest thing that reminds me of growing up is Van Morrisson.

This sounds off-topic but my parent's have turned me onto a ton of music and my whole life I've been chasing that feeling of returning the favor. I thought I nailed it with The 59 Sound and ILIWYS, which they enjoyed, but didn't love. ABIIOR changed that - I shared the Sincerity Is Scary and they're both now obsessed.

Also, played I Always Wanna Die Sometimes at the bar, quickly followed up by Champagne Supernova.. and the barflies loved it. This album is truly something special.
