That first one was a tough one.

 

Oh fuck, these are so tough.

In a lot of ways, this is the Counting Crows record that means the most to me. I've come to love August more, but Hard Candy is the album that really solidified me as a die hard Counting Crows fan. I wrote about it last year for Modern Vinyl's Thanksgiving feature: Thanksspinning: Counting Crows — Hard Candy

"If I Could Give All My Love" and "Up All Night" are both top 10 Counting Crows songs for me. "Up All Night" is probably top five. I really love "Black and Blue" and "Good Time," so voting against them is tough. Especially "Black and Blue," since I'm worried it won't get any votes. Could have really gone either way on "Carriage" vs "Why Should You Come When I Call," but I didn't want "Carriage" to go voteless. It's such a lovely, unique song in their catalog.
