Had to watch late

Cold open was pretty hit or miss, I still wish they would replace Baldwin. Highlight was Beck and Fred's bit

Monologue was okay. Don't know much about Claire Foy but she seems charming enough

Netflix Originals was funny

Morning Joe was pretty good. Melissa really looks like Ocasio-Cortez

The War in Words was great, really funny concept

Dad Christmas was okay, could have been better

Anderson Paak is fucking amazing and I'm glad he brought Kendrick out, was hoping that would happen

Overall good Weekend Update. That Beck character is a winner

Willy Wonka sketch was fucking horrible, I'm not even sure what it was supposed to be

Teeny Adorables was pretty one-note but I laughed. Cecily is a great actress

Paak is gonna be a star

Good Morning Goomah was basically discount Bronx Beat and ended kind of abruptly but it was okay. Foy really looks like Courtney Cox here

Holiday Message was not what I was expecting but I enjoyed it. Cecily and Melissa are noticeably better singers than the rest lol


I actually thought this was a pretty strong episode other than the Wonka one

 

The voice on the intercom was verbatim a scene from Goodfellas

 

Episode was ehh. A few funny things but overall not great.

I feel like they never actually have any intention of putting these on the show. Easily should have been in instead of the Willy Wonka sketch

 

I think overall, this was probably the best episode of the season (not saying much). The War letters skit was great. I loved the Family Matters scene from the Netflix sketch as well.

 

Liev was easily the best of the season.

 

Totally down the middle grade in my opinion. I wish they'd get more creative with the cold opens.

Who is claire foy?

Letters from ww1 was such a great "sketch". Funny premise, simple, well executed. Day is awesome.

Lesley jones in a van buying batteries lmao

Love the chemistry of morning joe sketch with Moffat and kate.

Other than that nothing was really notable.

Dad christmas was confusing. Was it a commercial? Who was Aidy supposed to be?

Where was mooney this week???

Overall episode...average grade
