I know i just said this but the closer is so fucking good. I would like to think I'm passed that point (read: 1000% percent am not) but i echo everyone's sentiment: that song is going to save lives

I dont know if this is their best. But this is definitely hitting me the hardest out of all their stuff. There arent many bands I can definitively say are the best at what they do but the 1975 is one of them.

 

Sorry I know all you got your gushing out of the way before but I'm five beers in and I have some thoughts and feelings.

I never expected to be in LOVE with this album like I am. It starts to sound more special the more I listen to it.

Still don’t like “it’s not living” tho

 

I’ve been trying to get everyone I know into this band for so many years

I’ve seen your love for this band over multiple social media outlets for years. I tried really hard to LOVE them since the beginning. I just never could latch on to one of their albums as a whole. Like I really loved tracks 6-12 from their last record but could totally do without the rest of it.

This is on another level. It’s rare that a band with high expectations continues to improve and put it all together. The last 4 songs on this record are seriously great.

 

You got me into their last one for sure. I may not post about it but i definitely notice when friends go on and on about albums haha.

That last part makes me sad, but I forgive you. I know Cheem isn’t gonna be for everyone, still my second favorite of the year tho behind this. I really wish ABMTTS clicked with me, but I feel like the way people responded to that is not dissimilar to how I’ve responded to this album. I respect that album but it just doesn’t click with me.

 

My dream is that Eaux Claires takes a year off and comes back in 2020 with enough money to book this band as a headliner and Matty/JV somehow collab. Also I apologize for shoehorning JV into every music related thing. I can’t help it guys pls don’t hate me

Like, they're all technically very talented. It just feels like a very niche style and I couldnt get into it. Which I hate. I hate not liking stuff.

It legit gave me too much anxiety to finish this morning but I've listened to it twice since 4 this afternoon.

 

I saw them live in Detroit like 2 years ago and they’re BY FAR the loudest band I’ve ever seen/heard. I can’t even imagine what their more recent shows are like.

 

I’m at a Brockhampton show rn and Sincerity is Scary is playing

 

The footage from their show the other night sounds incredible, damn.
