    This Must Be My Dream

My mom would always play Phil Collins and James Taylor on our family road trips when I was younger. I definitely feel that connection too

  2. Record still sitting in Ferndale. :verysad:

  3. Definitely a lot of that playing around when I was younger. Lots of Elvis, MJ, Beatles, Cat Stevens, and stuff like that too.

Can we get a topic about the bridge of I Always Wanna Die Sometimes. I’m dreaming of that moment live.

  17. I'm gonna have to go try and read all of these at some point. They're interesting. Gonna be a pain to hunt through. Haha, Twitter is a weird medium for this.

Wondering if it will one day overtake “The Backseat”’s throne of best album closer of all time in the church of my own personal opinion. It’s a perfect song.

  20. I'll remove if this isn't allowed, but given that these tracks aren't for sale, hopefully it'll slide.

I've been collecting 1975 rarities for a long time now and I figured I'd share a short 3-track compilation of various versions of "102" that have circulated for a while.

Between the name changes, social media / blog wipes, and inevitable decay of all that is good on the Internet, there is no certainty of the date or origin of these tracks, but I'm pretty sure the two that were findable prior to the version uploaded to The 1975 YouTube this week were available before 2013, the year most publications are touting as its year of inception.

    Tracks:
    1. 102 (Solo Acoustic) - The Slowdown (circa 2011)
    • This one came from a republished live video that I'm almost positive was initially published when the band went as The Slowdown. The name final name change came within the next few months.
    2. 102 - Drive Like I Do (circa 2009)
    • This one I believe precedes the live rendition by a few years and was recorded in the studio with a number of other tracks during the DLID days. I have this as part of a 12 track compilation of DLID songs, about 60% of which would later be released under B I G S L E E P, Talkhouse, The Slowdown, and The 1975.
    3. 102 (Acoustic) - The 1975 (2018)
    • This is the version released on YouTube by the band earlier this week and may appear as a bonus track on international versions of ABIIOR.

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

Thank you! Per Reddit, the Japanese version is slightly different. I hope it surfaces soon.

"The Japanese version is different but still kind of acoustic. It's like Adam Hann playing the sints he does in Chocolate and Sex acoustic lives, it sounds better than the Youtube acoustic version, but It's quite similar."

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Picked up the white variant at my record store $40 was rough but it’s worth it

Missed the last hundred pages of this thread, but loving the record. Last three tracks may be my favorite ending to any record.
