I've listened to this album enough times now that I think I'm ready for my wall of text.

I'm glad I have this in Spotify quality now. It's a lot more blanaced.

Does anyone know what that synth-like twinkly chime xylophonish sound all over this album is called? Idk how else to describe it, but you can hear it in the background on "Be My Mistake" and I think also on the back half of the "I like it when you sleep..." instrumental. I feel like I only hear it from this band and soundtracks/scores, was just wondering if it had a specific name.

    It's my mum's dodge caravan

Was at the show, Matty jumped into the crowd and crowd surfed a bit, and as it was really packed I think a few people fell over. Everyone was fine though and set continued as normal after a few minutes.

Aside from that, just wow what an incredible gig in such an intimate venue (especially £10 merch, absolutely unreal), now to decide whether to get some sleep or stay up all night listening haha

Sounds like something off an old Roland keyboard or a pluck keyboard type sound.

I don’t know how to quote but this is what i originally posted.

They were live streaming the show on Dirty Hit’s instagram and he jumped into the crowd at the end of Love It If We Made It and when he was pulled out by security he kind of just dropped to his knees and it looked like he was either in pain or was crying and then the feed stopped. Twitter is saying apparently someone got hurt cause the crowd went mental and they briefly stopped the show. I think it’s fine now though? Can’t find anymore info. Hope everyone is okay.

Edit: the venue is saying everyone is okay

I like Be My Mistake now, the touches in the background are really nice

So I love this front to back

If it weren’t for the lyrics in that song (which suffer not JUST because of the questionable content but because they’re actually pretty bad), I’d like it so much more. I think it’s fine though.

Oh yeah it’s not “great” in how it’s written but I no longer want to skip it

Also Robot isn’t a skippable track, sorry y’all!

Can confirm, having not listened to it since my very first listen, that it is!

I skip it 50% of the time. And I’m actually listening to it right now.

It's not like, bad or offensive or anything. I just feel like I got the point the first time and don't really want to sit through it every time I listen to the album (which has been a lot this week).

I just really love the instrumentation on it and find the Siri bit endearing and very sad. I get something out of it with each listen.

Also, since the two are always gonna be compared I just wanna say that I think it’s WAY better than Fitter Happier. I definitely skip that track most of the time when I listen to OK Computer.

Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I want to cry after. There’s always a different emotion, and I love it. The instrumentation is really what makes it a non-skippable track.

  19. it's an essential track to the album

It usually starts with a chuckle for me and then by the time the strings come in, I’m ready to burst into tears lol

Funny that robot is the current topic. I just picked up the vinyl from my local on my lunch break. They print their own little labels on the front which normally say something along the lines of 'featuring the singles x and y'. This says "Intriguing third album from UK favourites, features 'The Man that Married a Robot / Love Theme'

I Couldn’t Be More In Love makes a lot of sense to me now re: being about the fans.

I don’t get the 102 craze...hmm. Learning to adore the closer. Don’t love the bridge but that falsetto is something

I got into it during the summer, when I was feeling a whole mess of unrequited feelings for someone. Thankfully, I’m over that now, but I still love that song and am glad it exists and could help me through that. I’ll admit that there’s nothing particularly extraordinary about it, though, if you don’t connect with it emotionally.

  25. Would have much enjoyed replacing “Be My Mistake” with the new “102.”
