I mean I would, but the way my turntable is set up I can only play one record at a time.

The fact that so many people have a different 'favourite song' shows how great this bands records are.

Tour variants have been selling out pretty quickly at each show. It was sold out last night in Orlando before Thrice went on.

After watching some Orlando performances, I think Dustin is starting to turn the corner as far as his vocal stamina is concerned. He's sounding better and better since Tabernacle. The switch from Treading Paper/Anthology to Stay With Me/Yellow Belly appears to be permanent until the end of the tour.

I really hope Dustin sounds just like the recordings soon or Mike J is gonna have a coronary.

I'm just gonna switch the topic and ask what everyone's favorite EP of the Alchemy Index is and why because I've been listening to them a lot lately.

Mine is Water. I love how atmospheric it is and all the electronic/synth elements that were incoporated into it. It's also really unique within their discography. Plus, Digital Sea is one of their best songs. Lost Continent and The Whaler are great too.

Mine's Air. It has one of my favorite Thrice songs, "Daedalus", and the background vocals and guitar parts always sound like different types of wind to me. Water is a very close second though.

Water... simply because it's the only time they've done something that unique until "Salt and Shadow," which is really a hybrid of Water and Air, mostly Air.

I love songs from the 3 other elements but Water was the most unprecedented thing they've ever done in comparison to the rest of their sound.

Fire is great but we heard Fire songs on Vheissu already. Again, this is based on having to pick a "favorite." Everything Thrice does is my favorite even if there are songs I don't like such as "Broken Lungs", "All That's Left", "Atlantic" or "Blinded."

Water or fire. The combination of those two is my favorite thrice release. If I had to give it to one I'd go fire, but both are excellent

Fire and Air always alternate for my second favorite. Fire just has so much muscle to it and I love it because just about everything packs a punch: Firebreather and The Arsonist especially (The Arsonist has become one of my favorites from Thrice, no doubt). Burn The Fleet is also great. I love Riley's drumwork on that song and that guitar lead in the bridge.

But Air is great too. It has that atmospheric sound I love from this band. Daedalus is a top 3 track from this band for me. It never ceases to get a rise out of me, especially from that bridge and outro. Broken Lungs is great too and I've finally begun to really appreciate The Sky Is Falling.

Earth is the only one I don't love, but it's good.

The best part about this revival is that the band is here to stay. This wasn't a one-off album revival and tour. They'll never tour as much as they once did but there are many records left in Thrice's tank.

Most importantly, everybody seems jazzed about the band again. You can tell their attitude as a whole has improved too.

Dustin also appreciates the band in ways he never did pre-hiatus. His perspective has changed after trying a few other things out on his own. He'll still be doing solo and worship music but Thrice will always be his bread-and-butter. I was scouring Twitter and saw his wife telling somebody that the hiatus really changed THEIR perspective regarding Thrice, meaning Dustin's and hers (in a good way).

Also, Teppei wouldn't move his family BACK to Orange County if they were only doing one record. He said in a recent interview that his leather-making business is now a side project to the band again (which it originally started as).

Lastly, the success of TBEItBN only cements the fact that Thrice is here to stay. Imagine if they make records for another 20 years? It's definitely possible at this rate. Growing even older with this band would be such a gift.

Seeing them become a legacy band, which they already kinda are, is such a rarity these days. Thrice has more studio LPs than Foo Fighters and Foo Fighters has been around 3 years longer. Crazy, right?

the ships have all sailed to the sea

I've always found it so hard to pick my favorite Alchemy release. Fire, Water, and Air are all pretty close in my estimation. Air might win because of Broken Lungs and Daedelus, but Firebreather and The Messenger keep Fire way up there for me, as well.

Water is my favorite because it is the most complete in my eyes. I love songs on the other eps, but there's usually a song or two that doesn't stick out to me. Water is different and it's executed so well. Night Diving and the Whaler are some of my favorite Thrice songs and the three that proceed them are pretty damn good.

I definitely feel you on Water feeling complete. With Fire and Air, Backdraft and As The Crow Flies don't really stick out to me, but they're solid songs.

Honestly, I wish they were playing any other Fire song than Backdraft on this tour. That's one of my few disappointments with their setlists on this tour.

There are lot of one hit wonders or bands with like 2-3 good songs on a record in my opinion. So many stand out tracks from these guys

It's either Fire or Water for my favorite Alchemy EP. Though I love Earth/Air almost just as much.
