This argument was bad and I feel bad but I'm angry because there are bad arguments happening here and I'm also the only one at my job doing any work so I'm taking it all out on y'all so I don't get fired

 

my point is there is no one single way to do this and it depends entirely on the context of your team. The Jags and Eagles are in two very different places. Which is why I would take Wentz for one and not the other.

god I love Baker. That is exactly what I was talking about when I said even if he wasn't the best in the draft (whoops lol) he should still be Cleveland's guy.

We need a new argument, slow work day.

 

The Jags still have an opportunity to become one of the best defenses of this era. We have invested a lot into our defense and not only do we have established talent, including a top 10 DL (Campbell), a top 20 DL (Malik), the top CB (Ramsey) and another top 15 one (Bouye).

But we also have more athleticism on that side of the ball than almost anyone. Ramsey is a quick twitch long-strider who keeps up with speed receivers, at linebacker Myles Jack is ran a 4.39 and a 4.41 at his pro day, while Telvin Smith runs a 4.5 flat and has chased lower-timed guys down from behind, Barry Church one of the fastest SS and Yannick Ngakoue one of the fastest DE in the NFL, etc.

With the right defensive coordinator we could be covering ground better than any other NFL defense. We could use man to man coverage in situations most teams wouldn't dare. We could be so versatile that we stay in running formations even when the opponent spreads out, so that we can stop power-shotgun rushing attacks like the Patriots & Chiefs. We have what it takes to shut down well blocked screens (Colts) and scrambling quarterbacks (Texans). We have a secondary that is capable of shutting down the best WR groups in the league.

Telvin Smith has been disappointing this year but the ability to use him and Myles Jack on slot receivers and Gipson's ability to shut down top TE gives us a lot of versatility. Last year we saw it, this year I'm not sure what the fuck Todd Wash is doing calling so much damn Cover 3.

But with the TALENT that we have, I think keeping the defensive corps together is the right call.

I barely remember anything from The World's End, but I don't think any of those movies are all that great in the first place. They're just okay to me.

 

Steak is overrated.
