Projects like this are so much fun, though. I'm really looking forward to putting together my EOTD list next year. It's probably going to take me the better part of a year to figure out the order and write the whole thing, though. I did a top 100 list for the 2000s earlier this year and it took me about six months.

Still haven’t received a shipping notice. I don’t understand the point of preordering albums; I never, ever receive them on the release day anymore.

I feel like I should like Now Now more. I absolutely love half of it and am kind of indifferent to the other half. Maybe I'll give it another try this morning.

Agreed! I need to practice getting better at writing, so maybe this would be a great pet project!

I think one album you all really need to check out and consider, if you really like this 1975 album, is "On The Corner Where You Live" by The Paper Kites - if you want soft melancholy vibes, with excellent guitar tones, I know this is an album you'll all like. I've seen the 1975 live four times, and I recently saw The Paper Kites live, and their live show hit me just as hard emotionally as the 1975 did

Do you think you’ll rip the solo yourself when you play it live?

Oh, I’ll rip it to fuck.

My advice would be to just do a little bit at a time. I figured out (generally) the albums that I wanted to include and then put the list in a Word doc. Then I'd pick 1-2 albums to write blurbs about every night before I went to bed. It made it a lot less daunting to do it that way.

I think I'm going to just going to do a top 10 of 2018 and then next year really put some effort into doing a list of my favorite albums for the past 10 years.

They also did pull the same move as the 75 by releasing the album in two parts, with "On The Train Ride Home" from 2018 as well.

Albums good, kind of monotonous to me

But I was BLOWN AWAY at the streaming numbers these guys have. Where have they been?!

Good question; I didn't discover them until last year. At the show the singer mentioned how this is the first time they're regularly selling out shows on a tour, so things are really starting to pick up for them, which is great to see

That’s great for them! There’s so many artists that I’m not a huge fan of but I wish them nothing but best

I still need to straighten out this year's list.

    It's something like:

    1. The 1975 - A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships

2 - whatever in some sort of order:
Anderson .Paak - Oxnard, Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs (probably), Brockhampton - Iridescence, Big Red Machine - Big Red Machine, Kids See Ghosts - Kids See Ghosts, Car Seat Headrest - Twin Fantasy (I'm counting it), Mac Miller - Swimming, Pinegrove - Skylight, Blood Orange - Negro Swan, Janelle Monae - Dirty Computer, Gorillaz - The Now Now, Snail Mail - Lush, Young Fathers - Cocoa Sugar, etc. etc.

    Slow down, Quentin Supporter

I'm really enjoying both of their 2018 albums. It was kind of same-ish at first listen, but I've spent some more time with it during exam season, and it's really started to pop for me.

I think 2017 had more albums I enjoyed overall. Julien Baker, Circa, Phoebe Bridgers, The Menzingers, Paramore, Kendrick Lamar, and Silverstein all had amazing albums.

This year had a lot I was looking forward too but some of those albums haven’t stuck with me the way I would have hoped (MANIA, Bouquet, Artificial Selection, Sister Cities, etc.)
