I have no reason to ever listen to California tbh. If I’m in the mood for blink (which is honestly kind of rare lately), I just play any of the other albums I love

it has some highs and some really low lows. BTD, LA, Left Alone and Good old days are stellar tracks IMO.

  3. I really enjoy it actually. You do you.

I still enjoy CA and CA DLX, but I get so annoyed with the cheesy ass production. Same for Goldfinger and Good Charlotte (youth authority) albums. That’s really my main gripe with Feldmann being involved. Other than that the CA era is exactly what it’s suppose to be....a fun throwback blink-182 album that delivered.

Og Cali is uneven and drags in the middle but I have my 15 track playlist I made from the deluxe that I love the shit out of and I still listen to it no less often than every two weeks probably.

Neighborhoods probably has 2 or 3 total listens for me since Cali came out. Dude Ranch, Untitled and Cali are my blink rotation at this point. No disrespect to Enema, I just don't listen to it often.

To be honest I never really liked Enema’s production either. I thought TOYPAJ was done better.

I like the sound of TOYPAJ better too, and I like it/Dude Ranch/untitled as albums all more than Enema, which i still think is super great despite a lot of its lyricism.

Dude ranch and untitled are their best albums IMO. Rarely revisit their other stuff, besides some songs from California because they still feel newish i guess.

Someone posted the +44 "Christmas Vacation" song here. While we're talking about obscure +44 songs, does anyone here know about this song?

+44 covering/translating a German band called Wir Sind Helden. It was part of an "iTunes foreign exchange program" (what a cool idea), and Wir Sind Helden covered/translated When Your Heart Stops Beating.

I think they also did a cover of a smashing pumpkins song

I Am One. It was on a Smashing Pumpken tribute album.

Wow I'm actually pretty impressed with how spot on this is. The guitar tones are identical, and Travis does Chamberlin's fills perfectly.
This is all just a big surprise for me....Blink and Smashing Pumpkins are two of my favorite bands, but I never would've thought they were fans of each other.

    yup...ready for new blink-182.

I'm also being super conscious about lower-casing the "b" in blink now. Thanks, Mark Hoppus.

I didn't think the production on Youth Authority was that bad compared to some of Feldmann's stuff.

I wouldn’t say it’s ‘bad’. I’ve definetly heard worse, but he/his team use the same production. The guitar tones sound dead and I don’t know why. Even that Makeout Party album has the same production cheesiness. It all just sounds cheesy to me. I wish it didn’t bother me so much ahah. It bothers me more than the whoas and na nas

Relistened to WYHSB today for the first time in years. Man that album is better and more earnest than anything AVA has ever did.
