I’m standing up for Siri!

 

I can’t be the only one who finds the story quite sad

 

I don't think any of that is embarrassing - that's a style and it appeals to some and not to others.

However, the whole spoken word is an attempt to tie in this digital narrative but it's lazy and transparent, something this band is anything but. I think not only does it fail in it's attempt to strength it's theme, but it actually interrupts a beautiful arrangement.
I've listened to the album twice and not in love with it yet - but that part is the only glaring misstep in my initial listens.

Will anything come of who leaked this?

At least it wasn't like BMTH's Sempiternal which I believe leaked about 2-3 months early.. sheesh

 

I mean it's insanely sad...? I thought that was the point. Siri track is a punch right into the feels.

 

I mean you are the sheriff.

While I don’t particularly care for any of that stuff personally it seems ridiculous that one can find a choice in the portrayal of another’s art embarrassing but not be able to argue their choice of style/dress is not. I’d be more sad if you felt my art was embarrassing than my disheveled pink hair.

the Siri story is very sad and I wish it wasn’t there because it bums me out of the mood the rest of the album puts me in

 

People are calling it embarrassing or dumb or whatever and completely missing the point

 

I love the story...sometimes you gotta dumb it down for the kids

 

Wish it was localized. Hearing it in the Siri voice I’m used to would hit harder. It is a bit redundant after a few listens though. Needed, for the album’s context, but dismissible after.

I’m not saying it’s not. I’m inquiring as to why/how it’s any different or any more/less preferred? These things intrigue me.

 

"I Like America" gives me serious "Intro / Set 3" vibes. More urgent, but still spliced and weird and lovely. This band is so weird, I love it
