One Directions last 3 albums are great, especially the last 2.

I cannot fathom listening to this album and hearing a boy band but to each their own ya know

Really wish they had left the siri story off of Robot. The music is beautiful but that story is very dumb. At least bring it down in the mix.

  5. TooTime really grew on me since the release. At first I was just confused but now I catch myself humming the chorus constantly.

I think Love It If We Made It might be this band's best song

  7. Another thing, I think favorite and best aren’t always the same. Like, yeah this is definitely their best album but I don’t think personally anything will hold a candle to what the self-titled album did for me.

I think most of these songs are the band’s best songs.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Robbers is still probably my favorite song by them but there’s a lot of potential here that it’ll be knocked down

The one piano part of Mine reminds me of “Have I Told You Lately” by Van the Man

Haha...I guess I should have said too much like boy bands which is a sound I don't care for but i'm glad others are enjoying the album however you want to describe it!

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

What would you say sounds like boy bands? The singles? TOOTIME maybe since it’s extremely poppy, but HTD//Petrichor, I Like America, Mine, I Always Wanna Die (sometime) absolutely do not sound anything like what a traditional boy band would sound like. There’s a lot of variety to love here haha

After about 10 listens through this my heart still jumps every time petrichor comes on. I think it's been said already but the transition from that into LIIWMI is perfect.

perhaps unexpectedly, one of their older songs that feels the most *prescient* to me in regards to this album is "Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You"

  22. What a record. I'm eager to digest this, but here are a few quick thoughts after my first listen through:

    • When "go down, soft sound" kicked in, I audibly gasped.
    • "GYAT" hasn't lost its charm on me yet.
    • "How To Draw" is a tease at the Japanese House collab we all want.
    • I'm a sucker for a Matt Healy acoustic number.
    • "I Like America" is... WOAH
    • I love the instrumental AND the story of track 9. (one of many bits that gave me Blonde vibes)
    • Why does "Mine" sound so familiar?
    • "I Couldn’t Be More In Love" gives the back half a ton of weight. What a track!
    • The 1975 wrote an emo banger to close their goddamn album. I'd be so incredibly pleased if they go this route for their aforementioned return to Drive Like I Do. Could you imagine?

Compared to ILIWYS, this appears to be a bit more immediate as a whole for me. There were a couple of songs on ILIWYS that on first listen didn't click all that much.

This however.. holy tony danza tap dancing extravaganza batman (not the band, just being hyperbolic, don't mind me)

"Mine" kind of gave me the same vibes I got from the ending of "If I Believe You" which made it feel familiar.
