Chargers are a weird team, no one ever talks about them but they’ve had some great players through the years that are forgotten

 

Ehhhh Marshall had a few years where he was considered a top 5 WR, in most years many people would make a claim that Romo wasn't top 10

 

Maybe, I guess we'll never know. That's the problem, I say the Saints are loaded with talent because of Kamara and Thomas and so many other excellent players but how many of those players are elevated by Brees and how much is Brees elevated by those players or Payton? We will probably never know.

Anyway my vote is still with Luck.

 

It kind of does though. The marginal differences in certain stats look very minuscule when you realize that Rivers has played in nearly 80 more games. So yeah, I'll take a .1 dip in Y/A and a .8 difference in completion percentage.

 

To be honest I think Romo is a little overrated, I mean I remember countless times he's come up short in the big time.

 

I LOVED Vincent Jackson.

Yeah we'll never know. Though personally I'm more of a believer in Brees being the team more than Payton is. We'll find out soon enough.

Oh, I don't think it's a landslide "anyone who disagrees is an idiot" kind of thing when comparing the stats from those two, and availability is definitely a concern, but I was talking about talent and I think those stats and how he never started a game without being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs is enough for me to say that Romo was better during that time.
