I can't believe the Yankees discussed Cano for Ellsbury

Somebody tell Cashman that Boston isn't going to win 108 games EVERY year

 

Maybe cano would take a buyout considering someone else might actually sign him as opposed to ellsbury likely never playing again, it's not that bad of an idea tbh

 

Prolonging it? I think the issue is they never really committed to a full rebuild like they needed because they had an ace and always found some weapons. It seemed like they tried to take the easy way out as early as the Figgins signing years ago. Cruz and Cano are much more recent examples of them skipping rebuilding steps.

Glad it’s not a long term commitment, but I really can’t get excited about the Donaldson signing. Love Camargo. And I was hoping Riley would get a shot next season.

 

Um can they just like trade Wade or other people before just DFA'ing Torreyes

 

Im very excited that the Braves are spending $20MM on a potentially very good player this year, instead of spending that money on Scott Kazmir + Brandon McCarthy dead contracts

Rileys strikeout rate needs to improve a good amount, then he'll be up. Pretty sure he had a good obp but needs to get better at walking when he has that kind of power. I'm guessing by Donaldsons last year he'll be up, unless they make a big trade.
