Was trying to remember a clip of someone putting pepper spray on food

I'd pay to watch someone fire a tear gas canister into this asshole's mouth.

In my mind i always kinda thought that people who love the idea of firing deadly projectiles at human beings and human children just kind of ignored the uglier aspects of what was actually going on and went about their normal day to day lives, like kept their heads in the sand about what's actually happening and just said stupid things like "yeah, build a wall!" and "they're stealing our jobs!", but in talking to people in person it's actually kind of scarier in that some people actively approve of and like what's going on. I do wonder though if they'd be able to actually stand there in person and fire a tear gas canister into a human child's face. I don't think I want to know the answer to that... A paintball gun is considered non-lethal, but do you think I'd be okay with an adult firing a paintball gun at my unprotected 2 year old daughter ???

If that person went on TV and said something like "I understand this is a horrible situation and the men and women of the border patrol are doing their best in a complex worst case no-win scenario and we only use non-lethal means as a last resort" I would still vehemently disagree with what is going on but I'd have a tiny bit more respect that going on TV and pretending pepper spray is fucking fun. Dipshit should be drawn and quartered .

This is a dumb take. Imo it showed good leadership for Gillibrand to call out a popular member of her own party to resign and showed that even though republicans may be hypocritical in issues like this, democrats won’t play around

  14. Oh we've turned on Beto. That was fast.

  15. I don't think Beto was ever a leftist darling except that he was going against Cruz. Policy wise he's always been straddling the moderate/standard progressive line. I think this is accurate:

Maybe i'm wrong but I don't think anyone ever actually thought Beto was a leftist or a strong progressive. Just look at his voting record. He's a member of the New Democrat Coalition. He's the kind of candidate you need to win in a red state like Texas, progressive enough to win over the left, but not so far that he alienates the many moderates of Texas he would need to win

  19. *whispers* Sounds like a good Presidential candidate.

i really dont see the need to go after beto for anything right now, that includes people writing whatever about him. hes given no indication hes running for anything in 2020 yet, the month he just lost his election in isnt even over yet, yall can chill and save the policy criticism for when he's actually running (which i saw very little of when he was running, so why now that he lost?)

I don’t think Beto runs and I don’t think he should, at least not yet. There’s not a clear answer and this primary is gonna be a shitshow, already dreading it.

  23. If he is ever gonna run (and I'd put good money on that happening, politicians run for things, so I will always assume that's what they're gonna do if they have a chance at winning), now's the time. The energy around his campaign will never be higher. The political landscape is littered with the corpses of "waiting one more cycle/until I'm older to run" politicians. And they all know it.
