Streaming has definitely made me care less about things leaking. Having immediate access to new music every week is totally enough for me, there’s almost always something new I’m coming up on anyway

No offense but as someone who has been reading your posts since the days of AP.net, this is perhaps the least surprising thing I've ever read.

 

This is me but 10 times out of 10. For bands I love I don’t think it’d be bad if I personally listened to the leak since I typically buy physical copies, merch and tickets but I just don’t listen to them because I’m extremely lazy.

 

So did it leak

 

I envy people who can listen to new music on the likes of Spotify...I have it, but I just can't bring myself to try new music that way. Really stuck in my ways. I just listen to the same music over and over until I happen to accidentally discover stuff most of the time. Otherwise I sit on Spotify getting annoyed at myself for wasting time listening to things I don't know I'll like when I know I could be spending time listening to things I know I do. Moronic logic, I know.

 

I mean streaming Dexter, finding links, and watching porn isn’t anything my mother would be ashamed of?

 

I feel like that might've been a demo name for I like America, America likes me, maybe? Idk.

Slowly atm but yeah it’s starting to be out there. Looks like a band member on a smaller label here in the states got it and started sending it around from what I’ve heard. Couple people here have it from what I gather.

Hasn’t hit the big leak blogs from what I can tell though. That usually happens within a few hours.

Hahah. To be fair, I don’t really just randomly browse stuff. My new music Fridays mostly consist of things I hear about through the the forums and weekly New Release threads here, or through NPR’s All Songs Considered.

 

What do you mean by the smaller label part? Like someone in the US got a digital copy and shared it?

 

There’s a strikegently account on Instagram that I follow but it’s nothing like that old site. They pretty much just make a bunch of really cool enamel pins. I assume it’s ran by the same person due to the name but it bears no resemblance

 

Yeah. Someone at a well known indie label got it, sent it to some band members, and they have been sending it around. At least that’s what I was told.
