For me it’s def TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME, tho I still love it. It’s the only one of the five I don’t consider one of my absolute favorite songs by the band.

I'm talking about my feelings towards it personally. Not yours. You can all relax and enjoy the song. Guilty pleasure songs to me, are songs I personally feel like I shouldn't enjoy because I have a history with not enjoying that type of music. But I still do.

  4. This band WAS my guilty pleasure when I was 15 and wanted a New Found Glory tattoo on my forearm

  5. That just means you like the song. I don’t understand feeling guilty for liking music.

Feel like I don't 100% like it but I'll still listen to it because it's The 1975. Everyone around me knows I loathe that type of song, so I'd get schtick for it. So it creates a situation where for some reason I'm embarrassed to be caught listening to it. If that clears it up for you. And yadda yadda why should you feel embarrassed...but I can't answer that for you. So

I learned a long time ago to embrace the music I liked and it really helped me break out of my shell and not worry about what other people think. Felt so much better too.

Yeah, I still need to work on that.

Feel like as I grew up, everybody applied this whole 'Oh, he likes Brand New and Keaton Henson and he only likes moody depressing music' kinda thing to me. So it's almost like a residual appearance I'd have to keep up that I'm still a moody twat. I'm still a twat today, but not always moody. And for obvious reasons I don't listen to Brand New anymore.

It takes time but you can do it. It didn’t hurt that I came to embrace this in the AP years, especially when the old guard was still around.

  14. Dunno, I’d say stock up on some musical self-confidence and tell the people around you to fuck off and don’t be friends with people that make you not wanna be yourself or be embarrassed to be. IMO: Life is too short to be embarrassed by what moves you and any friend that gives you shit for liking something probably has a boring music collection. It’s why I’ve never liked the phrase “guilty pleasure.”

  15. Bingo. I used to worry about the internet police and hide my love for pop music.

Fair enough. Sorry I've been a pain in the arse to talk to tonight ha. I'm very defensive in case you haven't noticed over the years. But you're absolutely right yeah. My music tastes have dramatically changed and I shouldn't feel the need to maintain to others they haven't.

I feel like that's got something to do with why I wasn't huge on the latest Paramore album, sonically speaking. Do intend on revisiting it at some point, because my god was I in love with Paramore until the self-titled.

I personally feel no guilt in saying I love all Sugar Ray’s material.

I really enjoy The Story So Far's music but the band members kinda seem like pieces of shit so I call them a guilty pleasure.
