What have you seen? Hush on Netflix is good and fairly recent. They Look Like People was a pretty interesting though slow one. I'm assuming you've seen The Witch

Also heads up to anyone interested, if you buy tickets to The Conjuring 2 through Fandango you can get a digital copy of the first movie for free

Creep is a good one. Opinions are mixed but it's a solid found footage movie

    Pick up The Witch imo

Creep is a slow burn but pays off in the end.

  9. It can't be that slow, it's only 70 minutes haha

I know what you mean though, I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was one of the better found-footage films I'd seen in quite some time

The Invitation is like $10 on Vudu I believe and is very good.

Going back to last year, there's Krampus, Bone Tomahawk, The Visit, We Are Still Here (on Netflix), The Gift. Late Phases and A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night should both be on Netflix as well I'd you haven't seen them yet.

Going even further back there's Unfriended, The Purge: Anarchy, When Animals Dream, and of course It Follows.

Crimson Peak and Ex Machina are both kinda horror.

Horror comedy there's Bloodsucking Bastards, The Final Girls, What We Do In The Shadows, Wolfcop, and Housebound. I also hear good things about Deathgasm, which is on sale for $7 on Vudu

Yeah The Witch and Hush are both excellent. I liked Creep but the opinions on that are all over the place. The Invitation is my favorite movie of the year but I don't know if that's still pricey VOD while it's in limited theaters type thing.

I liked it a lot! It was fun. The demon was creepy and there were one or two scenes where I held my breath so I didn't jump and embarrass myself in the theater as I braced for whatever was gonna happen next haha

also just got back from the conjuring 2. really enjoyed it and thought it was very effective and it covers more ground. if you liked the first one, you'll enjoy this one as well. HOWEVER, I don't know why I ever still go to theaters on opening night anymore because there is no shortage of inconsiderate, immature people who simply cannot be quiet.

I went to a 1:30 matinee so there was less than 10 people in the theater. I like that cause then I can mutter things under my breath quietly lol and everyone is so spaced out that nobody can hear me. Like when Ed was all Oh, I thought painting this terrifying demon picture would help and I was like ?????!!!!??? why would that help, Patrick Wilson????

I have a hard time seeing horror films during the day but I guess at this point, it's either gonna be that or to just wait it out til home release.

I prefer day cause the theater is dark regardless and I am home alone at night. Movies never seem to scare me until it's time for bed so I like watching them early so they aren't on my mind at night haha. Our theater sucks tho like sometimes they have pow wows and concerts on the grounds nearby and you can hear it while watching the movie. I usually wait to stream stuff or rent

it's just so weird to me being immersed in a film and then walking outside once it's over into sunlight and day time stuff happening. like, we got out of con2 around 1 am and the parking lot was near empty and I'm walking to my car alone and it's just..right. haha it just fits my mood better I guess. but wow what an active theater!

Conjuring 2 was OK. Could have used about 20 minutes trimmed from it here and here , got repetitive. Climax/ending was also meh. Good stuff for the first half though.
