Andy Dalton's contract is INSANITY. That is the best value at QB by far. Other than Brady, who does not count.

 

So theyre paying him Matt Stafford money.

If I was the 49ers, and I had to try to sign him long term based on what I saw in those 7 games, id do the same thing. Without that injury I thoroughly think he was clearly on his way to being better than Stafford.

It’s a lot of money but it’s a tough market. If I had Jimmy G in my hands before his injury, based on that tape and the scarcity of talent at that position, I’d find it highly, highly unlikely i could find that skillset in the draft if I lost him.

Okay but he could've drafted Mahomes/Watson haha. Goff/Wentz was 2016. So you're talking four top five QBs being drafted within two years? That's a BAD argument for the scarcity of the position.

Cause I tried to list the “only” QB with that kind of potential... and in the process I forgot Mayfield and (stubbornly admits I could be wrong) Trubisky

 

So there’s actually 7 young QB with potential to become elite in 4-5 years.

Mayfield - pick 1
Trubisky - pick 3
Wentz - pick 2
Goff - pick 1
Watson - pick 12
Jimmy G - pick 63?
Mahomes - pick 10

Trubisky is like...he's so good in Nagy's offense but he will still fuck up in a really bone-headed way. If he keeps improving he'll be something to fear

I’m fine with no Goff or Wentz becuase Jalen Ramsey but I’d go back in time and pick any of the other 4 quarterbacks.

 

I've been riding the Mayfield goat wagon since before the draft. No room for you people late to the party.

Also, it's a shame Teddy is in NO where he only plays in extreme garbage time (can't believe they trotted Brees out there up 38-7 or whatever). He could really help some teams right now.
