That whole “trading Jalen” report is speculation. Read the article, the origin of the rumor is Florio on PFT, not Schefter. None of the article is concrete, just more sensationalist response to Jalen’s frustrated tweet.

He’s making a parallel to the Giants having considered trading OBJ due to his attitude, and THEY even resigned OBJ in the end. He ends it by saying, we’ll have to either make him the highest paid corner or consider a trade, trying to make it sound ominous and convincing... but honestly he’s worth every penny and that shit doesn’t phase me at all.

 

We have one of the most famous players in the league RN, and the media is gonna go crazy every time even a little bit of tension and frustration surfaces. I don’t buy it.

Jawbreaker is okay, if they didn't break up at their peak they wouldn't be nearly as beloved for the last decade as they became

 

Yeah Jawbreaker is good but massively overrated.

 

Things I learned today. The Redskins built their training grounds in Richmond on the same grounds as the confederate army training grounds.

 

Fuck all that Jawbreaker are relatable, intelligent, thick and powerful sounding, they get the aesthetic and sound exactly right, and they were at their best live especially in the vocals.

They were masters of creating distortion and dissonance in the right places. The adrenaline of the music is like a punch in the face. I also liked their emotional and inclusive narrative in the lyrics that spoke out against gatekeeping in the community, and supported people who just wanted to be themselves when they enjoyed punk rock.

I don’t agree at all that they didn’t have more great music coming if they stayed together. Blake Schwarzenbach is remarkably consistent as a writer. I love Jets to Brazil.

This post. I disagree. They were highly vaunted in the community before they broke up. They aren’t like one of these diy 90s emo bands that never had a big following until 2016 haha. Jawbreaker was that beloved already.
