I posted it here before but I'll do it again to be properly roasted. Week 3, I made this trade with a guy who drafted Bell and Jeremy Hill so he was in dire need of a RB that was actually playing:

I gave: Alshon Jeffery, Marlon Mack, Aaron Jones and the Bears D

I got: Le'Veon Bell, Quincy Enunwa and Andy Dalton.

I'm 8-2, he is 4-6. Funny how that worked out.

I had Conner so I was hedging by getting Bell. I also pulled off a trade that day or the day after...

Got Kareem Hunt, Kenny Golladay and Allen Robinson for Dalvin Cook, Keenan Allen and Tyler Lockett. That held me for awhile, but I am a crazy person and have traded all 3 of those guys away ad well.

 

My team has been a rollercoaster.

I went into a backwards spiral from Devonta Freeman going down. I traded Kupp for Tevin Coleman.

Then, the day they announced Bell would be back whichever week I traded Conner for Diggs.

Now trading Conner, I had a weak hole at RB. So I traded Amari and Ridley for James White and Corey Davis.

I then felt weak at WR. So I traded Tevin Coleman for Kupp and Ertz.

In hindsight I think I could have been fine if I just stayed pat, but I still like where I’m at post deadline.

I made 10 trades this season. I feel compelled to sit down and map them all out to see how I feel about it even though I have a potentially explosive lineup now

 

Tevin Coleman for Kupp AND Ertz? Wat

 

Crazy. I included NJoku and a 6th round draft pick for next year, but even still, it is crazy. Ertz is #1 or #2 at the position this season and players of that caliber get traded for much, much more. Someone traded a 3rd round pick for Mixon. That can fuck you up next season.

 

You basically got Ertz for free in the overall scheme, though the karma came back and took Kupp from you.

That Conner trade is definitely rough in retrospect though.

 

Oh scooping up Ertz for nothing is helping me so much. Even changed my team name to "I Came to Get Ertz" (my league is all gaslight anthem fans so they get it). But the Conner trade fucked me up. I would EASILY be the best team with Conner/Kamara.

 

Glad A Jones didnt do more damage.

Should I start Lamar Jackson over Deshaun Watson? I don't NEED this win....

 

I've been riding with Chicago's defense all season long but I just realized that for the playoffs (Weeks 14/15) they play the Rams and the Packers. That really sucks.

Yes I am certifiably crazy. As far as I can tell the only guys I drafted I have left are Watson and Ertz. I had the Vikings D, dropped them and brought them back.

I rarely, if ever, make trades. Can probably count less than 7 trades in 11 years in 40+ leagues.

 

Oh god...though, in a shallower bench league, aaron jones and marlon mack were tough to hold for a while til they paid off.

But yeah, enunwa really flamed out right after that trade...

 

This is a rollercoaster. That first trade is such an easy win...the ones after go back and forth at breakneck pace.

That 10/17-10/27 period, you're clearly searching for the best performing starters, but it feels like you keep jettisoning depth right when you need it.

 

Russell Wilson is so weird this year. The Seahawks mostly only run now and their pass blocking blows but he still accounts for most of their points lol.

I just think he’s so good in the red zone. The first four weeks looked like he and the hawks were gonna nosedive this year but now it’s apparent he just played really tough defenses - Denver, Chicago, Dallas, Arizona.

Since then he’s been solid. Anyone else riding this wave? I thought I overdrafted him but stability at QB is a small bright spot on a rough season for me. Nailed his bye week with Baker Mayfield vs TB too.

 

Honestly should’ve just kept AP and Hilton. They’d both be killer depth right about now.

At first I was like “ugh don’t trade Conner” but then I realized you have Brown, AJ green, AND OBJ plus a top RB1 (Kamara) and top TE (Ertz). Loaded skill positions. So a rotating back at RB2 isn’t so bad.

But Hilton in place of Green while he’s hurt and Peterson to rotate with Michel would’ve made your team perfect. Maybe Michel goes back to getting used a lot though and you’ll be fine.

 

That period was weird. I was doing well but suffered my first loss and also squeaked out a win in a week where I started 3 WR and they got like 8.5 points. Some small panicking and also being like OMG TRADES after everyone went on lockdown for the better part of a month.

Yeah I'm okay with my depth now. I'm one RB short I think. It isn't ideal but the starting lineup is top notch.

team's still not great but my starting RB improved drastically as well as a boost at TE and D, and I'd say overall my WR are better too since I had no one good after Hopkins before.

If Ridley and Howard can manage to get targeted a little more down the stretch i *might* still make the playoffs.

 

Yeah I think your team is decent I don't know how much ground you have to make up though. I don't think every league is as tight as mine is.

In a 12 team league we have: 10-0, 8-2, five teams at 5-5, three at 4-6, 3-7 and 2-8, so only two teams are really out of the playoff race rright now.
