This is like voluntarily signing the agreement to not raise taxes that that one weirdo billionaire makes every Republican sign, except it was also your idea and there's no one who is going to primary you with hell wrath if you don't sign

I guess PG&E even warned customers ahead of time that they would be shutting the power off due to sparks, but never actually shut it off. At least that's what my girlfriend saw on the news- at the moment, I can't seem to find an article alleging that they neglected to shut it off after saying they would, though.

 

Of course it's PG&E's fault, they were the bad guys in Erin Brockovich!!

Things are starting to look better in NH for a new secretary of state. The Democratic Caucus that overwhelmingly supported our current one back in '76 now voted to recommend a replacement Democrat for SOS, 179 to 23 to 7. Vote's on December 5th, fingers crossed.

Our current SOS has done so many things to suppress voting rights, such as sending misprinted ballots to people, sending voters a ballot for a separate town, discarding hundreds of absentee ballots over perceived handwriting issues without alerting any voters, and retaining our incredibly outdated and insecure websites that just occasionally stop working.
