I was in seats at the side of the stage as I took my dad (I had an awesome view though). It was standing, split between golden circle at the front and GA at the back.

I don’t remember if this has been posted in here yet but Billy has said multiple times that whatever SP music comes next will probably be more shoegaze-y and I am so here for it

Billy started work on the Machina reissues yesterday, his Instagram has been pretty fascinating

I'm worried that i'm not gonna be able to afford this boxset reissue. It sounds like it's gonna be expensive lol

I'd pay the kind of money Mellon Collie was on release. Not sure I'd go much higher than that though. Who am I kidding of course I will, it's my second favourite pumpkins album [\spoiler] Still I hope they keep it somewhat affordable.

Was not expecting a song like this, but I love it!

my only complaint with this new one and Silvery Sometimes is they haven't let Jimmy shine.

Gonna hold off on listening since the album comes out next week and I’d rather not hear half the songs before. Exciting though!

This one is a bit weird...But I do like it once it gets going! I love everything about it except the into. It kinda reminds me of Pomp And Circumstances on Zeitgeist. It has some weird moments but there are also some very excited moments deeper in the song. that guitar solo with the reverse effect is really cool!

So pumped! The reviews that have come out so far have been pretty positive.

Did anyone who preordered that clear vinyl get a shipment email yet? I haven't heard boo.

Not to say that reviewers don't have a valid opinion if they don't like the album, but almost all the negative reviews I've read have seemed pretty unfair. They either talk about how they don't like Billy for the whole review, or this one I read had the headline "Smashing Pumpkins Swing and Miss" and then the end of the review said it was a good, not great album. Anyways, nothing to indicate I won't like the album. So excited for tomorrow!

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I'm loving this album, some of the best choruses Billy's written in ages but doesn't feel like it's trying too hard for any particular sound

    Alienation is gorgeous

Just finished my first listen. Only songs I don't care for are Solara and Alienation.

Travels and With Sympathy give me crazy old school SP vibes. I also love that guitar riff in Marchin On.

"travels" and "with sympathy" are totally perfect. i also love "alienation," "marchin' on," and "seek and you shall destroy." essentially the second half fuckin rips

"travels" and "with sympathy" sound like legitimate continuations of machina ii which is uncanny and unexpected

I gotta give it another listen. Everyone else seems to like it, it just didn't click with me on first listen. But I'm seriously surprised at how much I enjoyed this album as a whole. Most definitely the best thing the SP name has put out in 18 years.

people seem to be tearing this album up but I fuck with it so hard

it's dreamy and so like... innocent? and unabashedly fucking weird, like Teargarden done better

I'm happy with it! It's sooooo much better than Monuments To An Elegy. I think all these songs were going to be released as Teargarden also?
