Good news for 2020

 

Looking at updated numbers....according to CNN, Sinema is basically almost right at Hillary's 2016 vote count there, whereas McSally is lagging behind Trump by about ~160,000.

Lets say thanks to attrition that incumbents tend to see, that Trump sheds a few voters there and lands at 1.2 million votes on the dot. Can Dems find another 50-60K voters in the state?

You'd hope turnout would be higher in a presidential, but this midterm is straining the turnout threshhold already....so can they turn out more voters there? Or do they have to hope for more Trump attrition which is certainly possible?

They need a strong candidate for that other senate seat, too...that might help turnout a bit.

 

The new SOS should help with turnout due to supporting voting rights. Not sure how much power SOS has in AZ but that should help. Plus the presidential election will always have more turnout.
